A good WWII movie. Sadly, many viewers may not appreciate that this is a very accurate account of how it was.
Highly unconvincing. Not a good historical war flic.
Good for a small budget movie, made just like the old war movies from decades ago, even the wife sat through it. good story and plenty of Air action
War in this film is not glorified. It very cleverly shows the traumas air crew suffered in ww11 and the superstitions these men went through just to be able to fly and hopefully return. Special effects during air battles are excellent. Highly recommended.
this movie certainly reminds me of war time i was 7 years old but i remember these planes coming back in a horrible mess i would say its worth a look
terrible movie unbelievable
Dull as dish water. Slow. Terribly cliched script writing. Poor 3rd grade movie.
One must admire the extensive use of CGI - the only way to depict the horrendous action encountered by WW2 aircrew. For war and aviation buffs this film is worth seeing as events previously unable to be screened are accurately portrayed, even though we are aware it's cgi. I'm not sure a Fortress could fly so well and maintain height on one engine, but most of the technical detail is well researched and re-created.
A grim reminder of how dreadful the air war was. So, four stars for a good effort in this meaningful reminder of true heroism by ordinary men.
Very disappointing, not realistic enough and certainly all done within the confines of a studio. It was not feasible that the two pilots discussed the point of the film in a cockpit with unrealistic shaking to simulate flying. The plot took ages to be unfolded and eventually came through but too late to hold the viewers attention. Pity, as more historical stories need to be uncovered for the younger generation. Not sure they would last the distance.
I expected a war film with mock-up planes and radio-controlled models in place of the real thing - but this was totally CGI. Even the actors seemed to be simulated in the context of the movie Polar Express. If you can put up with this, it was a reasonably good story. It appears to be made for 3D, which would be more appealing
