I probably will not watch this again, but I enjoyed it for what it is. Angus Sampson is a stand out, and Anh Do is good too. Was disappointed Claudia Karvan was not given more to work with in her character. Nice movie for all the family.

Interesting from a Sydney point of view. Predictable and utterly flimsy storyline.....but watchable. Anh Do is a great Australian and is certainly better than what is in this film. The bit about Yagoona beating Kirribilli is also completely nuts.

Real feel good movie, good acting. The comedy and dramatics make it well worth watching.

Lightweight and predictable but I liked it. OK for kids to watch but there is some low level swearing. If you are a Rugby League fan you'll love this, even just for the cast of real life footy stars thrown in. Some very aussie moments in particular the closing credits.

Feel good movie, some excellent Aussie acting. Believable, even likeable down-and-out characters.

Nice feel-good film but a bit pedestrian with a truly improbable "Cinderella story" ending. Good ensemble cast headed by Anh Do.

I'm an Anh Do fan. On the telly he comes acorss a a very pleasant and charismatic fellow. (although he was well out of his comfort zone on "Thank God, You're Here") Sorry Anh, this movie is a shocker and you helped write and produce it so you don't have anyone else to blame. This is a very predictable, tired, badly acted movie about the underdog team that succeeds against all odds. I found it very depressing. Another step backwards for the Aussie film industry. One star for Claudia Karvan who is totally wasted in this.

This is a good Aussie film but very slow. Stick with it though as the last 1/2 hour makes it all worth it.

Enjoyable feel-good film, bit of an insight into the less affluent areas of Sydney. Pretty predictable.

A great little Aussie movie. Has a message about our multi cultural country, but not too deep and plenty of laughs. Sit back and enjoy.
