In 1871, on the Island of Antonio Bay, four men committed an unspeakable crime. An impenetrable fog concealed their grisly secret and for seven generations the truth has laid hidden. But tonight, the restless spirits of the dead have returned to satisfy their long-held thirst for revenge.

From producer John Carpenter comes the all-new telling of his horror classic The Fog. With a hot young cast including Tom Welling (from TV's Smallville), Maggie Grace (from TV's LOST) and Selma Blair (from Hellboy), this “fright-filled remake (Larry Ratliff, San Antonio Express-News)” is a senses-shattering tale of demonic retribution bound to take you to the edge of your seat!

Unlike Most remakes that Trash the Original this was obviously made by a John Carpender fan who wanted to make his take on events. Most of the film is a scene for scene copy with a few differences where the Priest isnt focused in on as much, the villians are proper ghosts and kill like Ghosts and not zombie like ghosts who kill like Pirates and the cast is def game. Most complained about the ending but It makes sense with a couple of viewings and is def more downbeat then the Original but more satisfying. The fog effects done in CGI are brill.

Good movie, and very easy to watch and as remakes go, it was a great effort. Great ending.

This remake of an earlier version is brilliant. Those who like a bit of horror and thriller mixed in without the need of having bloodied faces screaming in your face should like this movie. It is a supernatural thriller with a well place BANG BANG BANG noise made throughout the movie in the right places to set the hairs on the back your neck. I've never really been a person that it scared by such movies. I watch the behaviour of two women watching this movie with me who both kept sitting up, their eyes glued to the screen in anticipation of what comes next.

I thought this was a very slow movie with a pretty silly storyline. Seen much better thrillers than this.

A movie that keeps you on the edge of the seat. You knew something was about to happen but it still made you jump. Great movie.

100 minutes of life: wasted. The viewer's life, that is. Save yourself the torment of watching a movie that fulfils every cheesy horror film stereotype, minus suspense and a worthwhile plot. The scriptwriters could not be bothered. Neither should you be.

Maggie Grace needs to take a few more acting lessons. Her performace was predictable, weak and erratic. In a sentence this is "Pirates of the Carribean" meets "Nancy Drew". The directors attempts at horror turn out to be comic and I had good lauch in general the movie was entertaining without fulfilling it's potential. Think of it as a spoof and have a good laugh.

Not a bad horror movie as they go - at least it had a plot. Worth a watch.

Be pleasantly surprised by the story told in The Fog. An idyllic island lifestyle is disrupted when the sea returns the spirits of the inhabitants' ancestors. The ghostly group is on a mission for justice - made possible by The Fog. Don't miss this one if you like tales of revenge and seeing the "bad guys" get what's owing them.
