Shows its age but it does have a few scares. John Carpenter would perfect his craft two years later with The Thing.
An Excellant Carpender Horror film with great acting by a decent all star cast inclung Akins, Curtis and her mother Leigh among others, likeable characters, smooth direction and brillant old school effects wioth a realistic fog and creepy Ghost zombies but sadly Carpender unlike most of his films takes the trendy plot twist/ shaggy dog ending going agasint the rules the film set up for a cheap final scare. It doesnt ruin the film but cheapens it to lesser films sadly.
My wife found it scary. I found it boring.
To me, it seemed like the movie had one very long introduction with a quick ending and no body.
My wife prefers this version of The Fog.
John Carpenter at his best. Whilst not as good as The Thing or Halloween (in horror terms, I'll leave his scifi/action output out of this one) it's still up there. Great atmosphere!
Horror at it`s best. Fast paced action that keeps you nailed to your seat. Do not watch the remake however- it is just boring.
Wasn't real scary, an interesting plot with good acting. The ghosts were a bit basic though zombie like almost humourous.
Classic horror, showing its age nowadays but still has its fair share of chills.
Bearing in mind its a film from 1979, it was strangely entertaining - and humerous nevertheless. It now has a sort of spoof feel - the music score there chugging along at all the horror classic moments. Not scary: just fun!
One of the best John Carpenter movies you will see, dont watch it with glasses on, they will FOG!
