Fly Away Home (1996)

A pleasure to watch, definitely a feel good movie.

Inspired by real-life experiments to encourage geese to fly South, this "Fly Away Home" is breath-taking and beautifully produced! With stunning imagery of Ontario and amazing wildlife shots (the geese hatching/ flight scenes), this film takes off. The acting is spot-on to ensure a light-hearted, engaging family film; performances by Panquin (as the little girl, Amy) and Daniels (Amy's father) hold the screen and believably capture the experience of separation, love and trust. This film surpassed my expectations and is very VERY well made. A *must see* 5 stars. Loved it!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this film, even our 3 year old loved it.

Great movie, all the more so for being based on truth. AMAZING scenery, well acted. Unreal how all the geese were trained. Well done and most certainly and have recommended. Not just for children either.

Very entertaining movie that the whole family can enjoy. The movie is set in Ontario, Canada, so the scenery is magnificent and the geese are beautiful. Great family movie.

Lovely movie, no foul language, no sex scenes cluttering up a heartwarming story. Visual effects excellent . Recommend. Snow Dogs and Homeward Bound.

Wonderful family movie set in beautiful surroundings. The shots of the geese flying over such picturesque scenery are magnificent. All the actors were superb in presenting a heart-warming story.

A really cute family movie with geese being lead by a surrogate mother that just happens to be flying an ultralight aircraft.
