The above intro pretty much says it all, but what it doesn't mention is that the story is narrated by the two lead characters throughout, each one often seeing & narrating the same scene from their own perspective, which is quite insightful given the tumultuously confusing nature of first love. It might seem a little slow for some guys, & older teens (the ones who are experts on everything whilst knowing nothing at all) would probably pan it for being lame, but my wife & I found it to be a sweet, pleasant, well acted story.
Really enjoyed this movie. The whole family liked it.
So so incredibly boring and lame...nothing interesting happens.
I really enjoyed this movie.
I watched this movie with my 9year & 12 year old children and it was just adorable, my youngest daughter said it was her favourite movie. For all parents it's totally clean, no swearing and nothing inappropriate. I give this movie 5 stars - there is only a few movies that I give a 5 star rating.
Not too bad,fun family viewing(not for the little kids though)
was a little on the dull side, but the story was a good one
Hired the movie for my children 3 & 6.5 - the 3 y/o didn't care much for it (which I did expect), my 6.5 y/o was glued to it and it was all very appropriate. Nothing that I felt I should be hiding her from. Me - I felt myself finding excuses to sit down with them. It was a really sweet movie about young love. Told from two different perspectives and about a different era. I would recommend this movie.
I enjoyed the movie my husband did not.
Great film for kids and adults, really enjoyed it. Lots to discuss.
Sweet, naive, innocent, warm...brings back those good old (young) feelings. The film enables you to revisit the simpler times in life and then explores that there's actually more sides to a story. If only we could realise this and use it more in realtime, you'll get that tingling in the spine that everything would be alright//and the world can be flipped for the better.
Beautiful.
Finally gets to the good part and then ends.
a movie to watch with the kids - age 8 coming of age story...... surprisingly good with a few life lessons. No swearing but entertaining!
Great story, engaging and lovable characters
A great story, worth the watch
Good warm movie about complications of young love.
A Wonder Years rip-off about the girl next door. Set in the 50s and 60s but everyone talks and acts like they're living in the 90s.
Two eighth graders start to have feelings for each other despite being total opposites. Great movie from director Rob Reiner
