Barrister Archie (John Cleese) falls in love and tosses off more than his wig for sexy thief Wanda (Jamie Lee Curtis) - who can charm the pants off anyone! To make things worse, Wanda is already using her charms on fellow partner-in-crime Otto (Kevin Kline in an Oscar-winning performance), a dim-witted, intellectual psychopath who thinks the London Underground is a political movement! Meanwhile, Otto is making eyes at henchman Ken (Michael Palin), an animal loving multiple dog-killer, who is infatuated with a fish...called Wanda. Get the picture?

Brilliant movie, John Cleese at his best. If the language offends you, you're probably better off watching animal documentaries...

Hard to fault this movie, there is a reason why it is generally regarded as the best comdey of the 80s. Just a great exploration of British and American relations and humour. All 4 leads are excellent and the film holds up very well years later. The commentary by Cleese is quite good too. 4.5 stars

Comedy at its best, played absolutely straight - well, most of the time anyway - and totally hilarious at the same time. An almost ageless classic.

Pleasent when last seen in the 80's but seems very dated now

Not as good as I remember it, when I watched it many years ago. The use of swear words offends me, and ruins the enjoyment factor.
