Emily and Nate Weaver leave the city for the rural comfort of Nate's ancestral home in New Hampshire. There isolated and haunted by inexplicable noises and horrifying visions Emily discovers she's pregnant while Nate is possessed by the homicidal spirit of his forbearers. In a house haunted by past victims Emily learns that she's the latest target in a murderous tradition.

Looks like I am in the minority after reading other people's reviews, but I have to say that I actually liked this movie and thought the actors did an OK job. Seen a lot worse.......

typical ADO title. all these titles are ok viewing in their own right but i have viewed better series in this genre

Very disapointed in this considering who made it. Nothing new, why R rated. The last 10 minutes are only worth watching.

Not sure why this is rated R as the movie is not very gory, just lots of suspense and supernatural spooks.

In a market of haunted house cheapies one would expect Fertile ground esp. a film endorsed by After dark films to be decent but sadly this is their worst. A couple is haunted by ghosts in their new home and the plotline rips off Seven days to live without the excitement, decent acting or effects. Do yourself a favour whoevers reading this as if your into haunted house films the Haunting or Seven days to live are far better choices here for that subject matter. So unless you are like me and are determined to see everything its best to skip this as even Scream of the banshee was better.

Bit strange, but creepy enough to keep you watching. Would only really recommend this for die hard fans of spooky movies.
