Embracing Walt Disney's original vision for a feature-length "extravaganza" of sight and sound, a whole new generation of Disney animators and filmmakers push the boundaries of the medium and their imagination to present FANTASIA 2000. In this electrifying feature, vivid imagery is the backdrop for classical compositions from Beethoven, Shostakovich, Respighi, Gershwin, Dukas, Saint-Saens, Elgar and Stravinsky. From the antics of playful flamingos to a modern city in bluesy motion, brilliant animation brings a visual counterpart to the music of the masters. This all-new film begins where its predecessor, FANTASIA, left off, with seven completely new segments and the return of one favourite - Mickey in "The Sorcerer's Apprentice." Sixty years after the first incarnation of this masterpiece, the magical innovation of FANTASIA 2000 is sure to captivate audiences of all ages.

In the spirit of the original Fantasia. I eagerly await the next version, and it has got to be in 3D! Will it be Fantasia 2015 or Fantasia 2020, perhaps?...

Really did not like this version. Very boring and all over the place with the constant interruption from the "stars". Did not keep my kids entertained for more than 5 minutes at a time and only while there was actual cartoons playing.

Nothing like the original. Watch it on the big screen with sound to match, it will still blow your mind without taking additives.

Corny introductions but outstanding musical animations, especially the whales, the tin soldier and the final fire bird. It was also good to see the Sorcerers apprentice again.
