Oscar winning superstar Nicolas Cage (Con Air) and screen icon John Travolta (Pulp Fiction) battle head to head in FACE/OFF...the ultimate cat and mouse thriller directed by the world's most acclaimed action film director, John Woo! To avenge the senseless murder of his son, FBI agent Sean Archer (Travolta) undergoes a radical new surgery allowing him to switch faces with the comatose terrorist Castor Troy (Cage) and assume his identity. But when Castor awakens and assumes Sean's identity, the real Sean is thrust into an unimaginable nightmare, fighting not only for his life but also those of his wife (Joan Allen - Nixon) and daughter! Brilliant performances and mind-numbing visual effects make FACE/OFF the explosive action thriller you've got to see to believe!

Cage and Travolta have both made some bad choices regarding movies to star in, but Face/Off, despite some implausibilities, is an action packed thrillride that I do believe demands more than one viewing. I gladly bought the DVD.

typical of a lot of things Nicholas Cage is involved in...not very good! Travolta carries him a bit but not enough to make it worthwhile. Don't bother.

Completely silly, and too long, but entertaining if you don't mind something utterly mindless.

I walked out after about 10 minutes, my other half lasted about 20 minutes then turned it off. Complete rubbish.

What a great movie - still stands up well - gee JT and Cage looked mighty fine 14 years ago! JT is a very good bad guy and Cage's crazy eyes are a crack-up. Bonus points for the INXS song "Lose Your Head".

I heard great things about this movie but i found it a little disappointing. The acting was quite good but a little too unbelievable.

This is what action movies are all about. Sure there is a couple of silly parts and some bad acting at times, but we are watching to be thrilled and thats just what you get with Face/Off. John Woo directs his most amazing American film with John Travolta and Nicholas Cage along for the ride. John Woo's trademark doves make an appearance as well towards the end of the film. Using gritty dialoge and over the top action scenes, this is sure to keep anyone happy. If you have not seen this film, do yourself a favor and watch it over and over again. I always do.
