Saw the end of it when overseas and couldnt wait to get it through here. Amazing insight into how it was and may have been for so very many in the bombing. What an actor that boy is. Very sad, intesting, insightful and downright well done.

Such a poignant tale of what it may well have been like for those who lost someone in the Twin Towers on the "Worst Day". Everyone was brilliant and that young boy should well and truly have a career ahead of him. Sandra Bullock has really grown as an actor, and she plays the role of the mother very sympathetically and honestly. Can't stop thinking about it.

I loved this movie. It seems a bit strange at the beginning, and I thought I was in for another "Hugo". However, it's well worth persevering, and keep in mind the boy clearly has Aspberger's, and is not just an irritating know all. The young actor gives an amazing performance, as does Sandra Bullock. This film was very moving and has stayed with me all week.

great movie. It covers grief in a wonderful way. Having lost my father at the boy's age I understood what he was going though even though I lost my father sixty years ago.

This movie was very slow to start with and I nearly gave up on it. I persisted through, and ended up really enjoying it. It's a bit different, but quite good.

A wonderful warm and heartfelt movie. Not the normal American rubbish. Even my husband (who usually like actions) enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend.

I was really looking forward to watching this movie, but thought it was way too long & quite boring. The boy I found quite annoying & the whole build-up of finding out the story behind the key was a real let down in the end. Just a shame both Tom Hanks & Sandra Bullock weren't featured a lot more, there wasn't enough of them.

This movie, althought a little long was quite interesting although a little long. was quite engaging. I became quite attached to to boy and where he would go next and who he would encounter on his search to find where a key belonged that was with his fathers things. I liked how everything weaved itself together in the end.

Wow!!! Watched it twice this weekend... Absolutely absorbed b y the story line both times. Definitely one for the collection. A little heavy on the emotions side. And the kids aspergers ( which test came inconclusive lol) held you back from balling your eyes out. Very well written and compelling. Can't wait to see more well written movies about this Tragic event. Cannot even begin to comprehend what these people feel. <3

A very unusual film with a compelling storyline, having a Grandson that suffers daily with Aspergers I fully agree with the previous posting that the young boy shows every sign of the condition but it is not mentioned? Tom Hanks as always is brilliant as the Dad, not so much 'enjoyed' the movie but I was also 'absorbed' from the very beginning to the end. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this film if you want something a little heavier.

Didn't like it. The kid, the main character talks way too much. I quickly couldt stand him, I felt annoyed by this young actor. When a story is written to make you feel sad and it actually doesn't because the characters in it seem antipathic, unreal in the way they talk, behave...kind of everyone's beautiful. A very average flick with an aging Tom Hanks in a second role and a finale even more implausible. 2 stars for Max Von Sydow who had the character I felt the most for.

This movie is a tragic tale of those who lost loved ones in Sept. What a tale of overcoming all odds of grief and despair. How must have people really coped? How did life go on for them? One boys search leads you to ponder how you would survive yourself. The boy was a good actor and the role not easy to play but unfortunately the movie was slow to watch.

A rollercoaster ride for me. Inconsistent throughout. Brilliant in parts and below average in others. Tom and Sandra played second fiddle to wonderful young actor Thomas Horn.

Saw this at the movies and loved it. Amazing acting by young Thomas Horn, playing a bright, precocious 9 yr old autistic boy, Oskar Schell. Oskar's father (Tom Hanks) dies when the the World Trade Centre is hit by planes on 9/11, and the movie is about Oskar's search to come to terms with what has happened to his father. Beautiful supporting characters by Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock & Max Von Sydow. Tugs at the heartstrings, yes you will need a tissues, but also very heartwarming.
