Scientists mix up 'galaxy' for 'solar system' and for some reason it is decided if earth is swallowed by a 'dark star' (or is that 'black hole' - the movie can't seem to decide) then the universe will end. So the script ain't the best. Add dreadful special effects that end up being hilarious (cars are followed along the road by cracking tectonic plates and ONLY the road is cracking) and some cookey Mayan alien theories thousands of years old and then it is all a bit of stupid fun.

One of the better disaster movies enjoyed the twist at the end. Aussie actor Alan Dale plays a good part in this one.

What an absolute waste of time...what ever made Alan Dale get involved in this c**p. Have to give it one (star) can't give it any less.

A made-for-TV movie that actually isn't too bad. Fairly ordinary effects, but the cast are good and things progress well from disaster to disaster. "2012" lite!
