Oh come on, it's not that bad. Sure, it's B-Grade low budget sci-fi. It's not exactly "The Day After Tomorrow", but it's way, way better than "Metal Tornado" (Man, now that was a c**p movie). I personally find it interesting how there's not a single swear word written into the script, nor even a hint of any romance, but plenty of guns & hand-to-hand combat. God bless America.
Scientists mix up 'galaxy' for 'solar system' and for some reason it is decided if earth is swallowed by a 'dark star' (or is that 'black hole' - the movie can't seem to decide) then the universe will end. So the script ain't the best. Add dreadful special effects that end up being hilarious (cars are followed along the road by cracking tectonic plates and ONLY the road is cracking) and some cookey Mayan alien theories thousands of years old and then it is all a bit of stupid fun.
One of the better disaster movies enjoyed the twist at the end. Aussie actor Alan Dale plays a good part in this one.
What an absolute waste of time...what ever made Alan Dale get involved in this c**p. Have to give it one (star) can't give it any less.
Fell asleep continuously trying to watch this.
C rated movie. Poor everything, acting, efects and story line.
Poor acting, poor special effects,Low budget weak movie.
A made-for-TV movie that actually isn't too bad. Fairly ordinary effects, but the cast are good and things progress well from disaster to disaster. "2012" lite!
