Finally I got to watch this movie and see what all the fuss was about. Even though now it's probably ten years old it still is a lovely movie and great to watch. It's a keeper! now I know what they people mean when they say "no one puts baby in the corner'! timeless classic.

What a great story of an inocent young girl from a wealthy family discovering how the servants live. She discovers intimate or "dirty" dancing and becomes accepted by the crew. The dancing is fabulous and I wonder how bodies can be so flexible. The finale is the definite highlight of the film. Full of fun and movement.

What a brilliant and iconic movie of the late 80's, although it's set in the early 60's.
I saw it for the first time on DVD and am sorry I never saw it when it was initially released.
Patrick Swayze was brilliant in his acting and dancing. He also co-wrote and performed the song "She's Like The Wind" from the soundtrack of the film.
Definitely an all-time classic as Jerry Orbach and Jack Weston, two eponymous actors, have since passed on as well.
5 stars for this one!
