Director: Len Wiseman
Actors: Bruce Willis, Timothy Olyphant, Justin Long, Maggie Q, Cliff Curtis, Kevin Smith, Jonathan Sadowski, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Zeljko Ivanek

John McClane is back! Bruce Willis reprises his signature role as the New York City cop who always finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, in a new installment of Twentieth Century Fox’s Die Hard action franchise: DIE HARD 4.0. The Die Hard films are renowned for their non-stop action and tongue-in-cheek humor, and DIE HARD 4.0 will offer the biggest, most realistic set pieces in the franchise’s illustrious history, as well as an arsenal of McClane’s trademarked barbs. In the new picture, an attack on the vulnerable United States computer infrastructure begins to shut down the entire nation. The mysterious figure behind the shattering scheme has figured out every digital angle – but he never figured on an old-fashioned, “analog” fly-in-the-ointment: John McClane.

As far as Die Hard movies go, this is one of them. I'd give it cred for its action sequences, which even by Die Hard standards, are hilariously ludicrous. Especially the one with the fighter jet.

If you just want to see a basic action movie this is for you. If you're going to watch this to criticise the latest Die Hard you'll have a field day. To enjoy this movie because you like the Die Hard series; there is seriously only one good part -> Yippee-Ki-Yay-M.F.

Surprisingly good action movie the shoots above its weight given that the Die Hard franchise ought to be dead by now. The action sequences are exciting and Willis does a superb job as the downtrodden hero

More of the same, so if you enjoyed Die Hard 1-3, then you will love this updated version. The special effects are great, the action is fast paced and the story line is nearly believable. Just what you would expect from a Bruce Willis movie!!!

Once again Bruce Willis is John McClane or is it the other way around? lol. I saw the first Die Hard when I was in high school and was blown away but alas the 3 sequels have never lived up to the original. This is a fun movie with the usual McClane one liners, fights and explosions but like the 3rd movie the ending is anti-climatic and lacks the explosive endings of Die Hard and Die Hard 2. The Mac commercial guy is funny.

John McClane is the man! Not as good as the first Die Hard but then again none of the series can beat the classic original. Movie storyline a bit lame but as usual the non-stop action and McClane attitude holds everything together.

At times this does truly kick. Bruce holds it together. And the fact that it's a load of old crap doesn't matter. Strangely though it does drag a bit in the middle, mostly because they've already blown so many stunts in the first third.

Some really interesting hacker themes to this which kept me interested. What lost points for me was the unrealistic stunts such as the falling of the F35 jet. It may look great but the director must think we are stupid to believe it.

Surprising in a number of ways. It's a decent sequel, which is a rare thing (though it doesn't equal the original - not even close.) It also has a terrorist theme without laying on politics, flagwaving or xenophobia with a heavy hand. It's pretty much a big, by-the-numbers setpiece action flick that moves at a fast pace, making all the right nods to the original. Popcorn flick, not great, not terrible, wont change your life.

This movie gets 4 stars because it is probably the most entertaining, funny film I have seen in a long time. Bruce "can't act to save my life" Willis reprises his role as John McClane, the lame, poor excuse for a cop that he played in the first 3 movies in this series and nothing about the character has changed. The storyline is great and the acting very tongue in cheek. Highly recommended for those who don't take their action movies too seriously.

Pretty much what you'd expect from a Die Hard movie. Unrealistic action sequences and laughably poor one liners from Bruce. The direction was slightly more edgy than previous efforts. Worth watching for some mindless fun.

Suspend your disbelief and enjoy the ride as, armed only with a computer geek and an automatic with an inexhaustible supply of ammo, John Maclaine single-handedly foils a bunch of cyber-criminals hell-bent on bringing the good old US of A to its knees. Great fun all the way through. Bruce Willis has still got it. But who knows for how long?

The best line of the movie was not in the DVD version! When he takes out the helicopter with a car, Bruce Willis says he was out off bullets. Not some crap about how many people die due to car accidents! But still a fabulous movie.

Just Maybe I'm afraid. The Die Hard franchise has become an excuse for special effects rather than John McLain taking on an army of bad guys and winning. Why oh why do they think the latest jet fighter has to get within 20 metres of it's target to get a shot at it???

Great popcorn flick. Would have preferred a bit more characterisation on John Maclean, it's been a while since the last Die Hard outing and there wasn't much explanation about his family. I did have trouble relating to the actor who played the Computer Expert ... I was half expecting the guy to keep reciting his Advert "Hey PC, I'm Mac, What's up ?".
