I thought the first was better because it was more original. This one didnt really add anything but it wasnt bad. Some parts of it descended (excuse the pun) to B grade, but not toooo much, just some parts. There are better movies, but get this one if you are really out of options.

Tremendous DTS soundtrack really adds to the suspense of this rather lame follow-up. Great to see powerful dominant females in adventure roles like these, but why did the writer have to spoil it with such a disappointing ending. Unfortunately looks all set for another sequel; why cant the producer's be happy with just the original and best. Make sure you check out Neal Marshall's other films Dog Soldiers and Centurion.

It was good to follow up after the first Descent, and I never expected that ending. For me i would not watch these two movies again.

I really enjoyed The Descent and the 2nd movie The Descent 2 is pretty much the same. As usual, a bit over the top but it was quite scary and suspenseful in parts. Seem a lot worse movies than this!.

I own Descent 1 on DVD and I absolutely loved it. Now Descent 2 was very good also, but not as scary as the 1st. In the 1st, many time you didn't ever know when the Humanoid Mutated creatures would attack, but you only ever saw Males, never any Females. In the 2nd, you could always tell when someone was about to be killed or attacked, but at least the 2nd Part, you got to see 1 female creature. In these movies, you always want to know how did the creatures become like this, but no one really worked it out. I was hoping in the 2nd Part that we would have found out something or a theory about how they come to be like that. All in all it was a great movie, lot's of blood and gore etc, but I still think they could have made it better, all the time when someone got killed they died within seconds, only a coupe of people put up a fight, but the part of how they always bit your throat and ripped it so you would bleed to death, is an action of a co-ordinated attack method and for the creatures to always kill like that is not normal, those creatures can kill you in many ways, with thier hands etc, jump on you from the roof, not the walls all the time. I really think there should have been a few different versions of killing and not just kill everyone by tearing thier throat out. I loved Part 2, but as commonly stated, the 1st part is always the best. Thanks :)

It you liked the first part, you will definitely love this sequel. It lives up to the original, providing a few new twists. But essentially, it is the same thing happening to a slightly different group of people, so there's nothing new to be seen here!

Part 2 is better than the first movie. I wonder if there will be a part 3 because the ending suggests there could be. Not too bad for a bit of entertainment.

Not quite as effective or scary as the first movie, but still a fairly decent effort. If you liked the first one you won't be disappointed.

Had not seen the original, but thought this was an ok film. Lots of jumpy scenes, and plenty of gore. Makes me want to see the original.

Most sequels tend to pale agasint the Originals much like remakes but this sequel thu a step down from the better Original could had outclassed it but it suffers from a few minor flaws. The Original surving lady is forced back into the same cave after her friends blood is found on her clothes and again Sarah and the people shes with are trapped and hunted by Crawlers. The acting is top notch and the direction sets up the same action equally as decent as the 1st film but it plays on adding too much like a mine shaft that never existed in the first film. The blood and gore is very well done with inventive deaths and awesome effects but the flaws I seen were they never really explain too much in this film. I dont expect the answers spoon fed to me but a little bit more info would had been nice even if cryptic. The ending I found was rather silly and also sets up a Part 3 so hopefully since they recovered from the end of the last film patching that up that it will be a great end to the series. Def worth seeing.

This movie was full of blood. It kept up with the original storyline. Had original characters come back from the dead. Although it was not as good as the first Decent, this movie held it's own
