Denis Learys stance as an degenerate, chain smoking, meat-eating, angry young man is embodied in his classic show which is full of tough love for 90s therapy addicted cry babies, and no holds barred advice for idiots (which is to say, anyone who gets in Learys way). Leary's straight talk makes perfect (and hilarious) sense. To crack addicts, for example, his message is simple: Never do a drug named after a part of your own ass.

Save yourself some time and get Bill Hick?s stand up instead. Denis Leary unashamedly steals most of his jokes and doesn?t delivery them as effectively.

If you like Denis Leary with his gruff voice and course ways this is good. There are a few laughs but a great truth deep down. Entertaining.

Leary's 1992 special for HBO started out slow but got better as it went along. Some dated jokes obviously after 17 years.
