Fast-thinking, quick-acting Denzel solves crime, then goes back in time to save girl. Come bomb day, two Denzels, one live girl. Hmm! Will parallel realities merge, cancel out, or crash and burn? Same same Source Code and Back to the F series. Annoyingly busy and repetitive camera movement at start. And just how many boats, choppers and sundry other moving vehicles does a director really need to jam into every screenshot?

The premise itself is interesting and original. However there are few plot holes that will let it down if you are on the ball. Otherwise, it is still an interesting journey and watchable to those who are able to understand what is happening. The movie explains itself well. However, the concepts in the movie may be hard to understand by some viewers.

Pity however the copy I was sent kept stopping throughout so look forward to seeing it again when I purchase a new cd. Well worth watching.

Yes it's nonsensical, but did I enjoy it? Yes I did. Denzel Washington is one of those actors with screen presence. No matter what he's doing you want to watch him and nothing has changed here. He's Doug Carlin (DFA investigator) sent to find out who blew up a ferry full of people. He finds a body with a different cause of death and figures if you solve that one, you solve the main crime. It plays with time concepts, past, present and future are intertwined thanks to a device which warps it somehow (don't think too much about it). There's action aplenty, some nicely developing romance and the big question regarding will they make it out alive at the end. Tony Scott films are never boring and this one is no different. I rate it highly on my entertainment value scale. Watch it.

This flick starts well and intrigues. however by the time we get to Act 2, things get devilishly convoluted and stay that way ensuring that, as long as you're willing to loost another few hours of your life which you won't get back, a second viewing would be revealing.

Although the screen special effects were clever and spectacular, and the time machine side of things was imaginative, I take issue with the plot. The majority of terrorists in the world are muslim fundumentalists yet this plot portrays the terrorism threat to America comes in the form of a deranged ultra nationalist white red neck.

Was listening to Kenny Rogers on the radio the other day, and even though the twang twang of country music is evident as is usual with The Gambler I sang along and didn't change the channel. My partner has come to share some of my taste in films and T.V, but when it comes to Si-Fi I still watch Dr Who alone. If I told her what this film was about she would not have seen it instead she was demanding I pause it when she had to get up. Like Kenny Rogers and his crossover country this movie is pioneering crossover Si-Fi.

mmmm interesting twist on the time travel thing, several plot holes so have fun finding them, other than that entertaining and thought provoking, could easily be turned into a tv series pretty much sums it up. admittedly you can't really go wrong with Denzel,
if you have time watch it again with the bonus feature thing turned on, hard to belive that ferry was back in action 2 weeks later !!!

This film is a new take on the age-old storey of rescuing the damsel in distress, the story is wrapped up in some computerised going back in time hocus-pocus. Not really a fan of Denzel Washington. We have gone from the old unstisfactory state of having a token coloured man in films to the position nowadays where the leading man in nearly every fim is black. Admittedly, Denzel does a good job with the material at hand, but I am sick of seeing one or two of the same dozen actors in every film, be they white or black. Nichole Kidman, Russell Crowe, Naomi Watts. Denzel Washington. Wil Smith, Geoffrey Rush, Kate Blanchett, Ben Stiller etc., etc., please all take a long,long holiday.

I loved this one. Yes, its a bit improbable but it kept me glued to the screen the whole time it was on. Denzel is terrific in this film as he is in all of his pictures. The bad guy was suitably scary. Nice to see the terrorist in the film being a local person, not someone from a different religion as is so often portrayed in these kinds of films. I would definitely watch this one again.

More science-fiction than action - although there are plenty of fireworks and loud noises. While the basic concept of time -travel is a possibility, I cannot believe that you can alter the past without catastrophic consequences. So the happy ending just didn't do it for me. Good concepot but I got the impression the story-writers ran out of ideas as to how to end it. Good, but could have been better.

I quite liked this movie, if you detract from the Hollywood trend to partner older men with much younger hotter chicks and the typecasting of Washington into another cop role again. The movie deals with some time travel issues, so be prepared to do some thinking on a higher plane than normal for an action/thriller movie, but otherwise great acting and great concept.

A New Orleans AFT detective is called in to investigate a terroist attack on a ferry full of naval personnel and their families. What if you could go back to the moment when it all happened and save these lives? Through a freak accident of science they are able to bend space and see events unfold in real time but only four days in the past. Interesting concept and the movie had a great flow to the story and the characters. However, the last 10 mins of the movie let the whole story down and the twist was not even a wow factor. Movie makers often full into the trap of creating a good story line but then invest no time in the ending. Hollywood could take some tips in European film makers examples on how to end a spense thriller.

Not your typical action movie. I watched this movie slightly sceptical after watching the trailers but was pleasantly surprised. Good acting, and plays down the sci-fi element of the plot.

Kept me interested all the way through. Cross between sci-fi and whodunit. Washington is always a joy to watch and has proved his ability to switch to any character each role requires. Great production and visual effects and the questions keep coming throughout the movie unfolding like a big jigsaw. Great stuff.

Hollywood knows how to make these sci-fi thrillers. Denzel Washington is as usual in his element in this fast paced action thriller. The best part is they make it look and sound so real that one wonders if something like this has already been made. I really enjoyed this movie. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes action thrillers.
