Very annoying doco. Done on the cheap without any input from anyone remotely connected to Bowie and verbatim material taken from radio interviews to avoid paying for decent footage. Mainly a bunch of critics theorising on what Bowie was probably thinking about at the time. Best bits some blurry live footage of the touring band from 1978 and the interesting German electronic guys that NEARLY worked with him! Don't waste your time!

Pretty predictable stuff here. Nothing said by Bowie at all. Everybody knew someone who knew someone who etc etc...

From a commercial standpoint, Bowies Berlin trilogy albums; Low, Heroes and Lodger, were often dismissed as unlistenable pap. Underated and sometimes ignored, this doco takes a closer look into the making of these records garnering a greater appreciation for Bowies intentions and aims.
