If you want to see a HORRENDOUS performance, watch Keira Knightley in this. My lord, absolutely unbearable is she. Has no place being in a film with Viggo and Fassbender...

A good movie. Not for everyone, great acting. A little slow in parts with lots of dialogue. But great costumes and cinematography.

David Cronenberg's drama of Carl Jung and his inner and outer conflicts (played uptightly by Michael Fassbender) is stately and not at all like the Cronenberg of old (despite its sexual neurosis theme). It is also not the love story that the Sony advertising campaign would have you believe. Keira Knightley is tormented as the patient/love interest/disciple and makes the most of a juicy role, but Viggo Mortensen has little to do (except to say "Hmmm") as Freud. Although things become talky at times, ideas are all but missing from the script and it would be near impossible to understand or differentiate the Jungian and Freudian contributions to psychoanalysis or psychology from this film.

Liked this movie. Loved the story betwen Fassbender and Knightley. However the movie did drag a bit at times. Which really let it down a bit.
