Poison in his veins. Vengeance in his heart. Chev Chelios is a professional assassin working for the West Coast crime syndicate. Chev's girlfriend Eve doesn't know what Chev does and Chev is planning to quit the crime syndicate so he can spend more time with her. But for Chev, things about to get very bad, when he learns he has been injected with a poison called "The Beijing Cocktail" by his rival Verona, which will kill him if his heart rate drops. Trying to stay alive and seeking to keep his heart pumping, Chev sets out to find answers and get his revenge on those who have betrayed him before the poison kills him.

This movie is insane, it should come with one of those medical warnings - may cause nausea, dizziness or heart palpitations. It's starts on 5th gear from start to finish. Definitely a high energy movie.

A crook finds himself in a life / death situation when he is injected with a serum that will ultimately lead to his death. Crazy action drama with ubiquitous Statham that is easily out done in absurdity by its bizarre sequel Krank; High Voltage.

Absolutely terrible. If you have a mental age over 15 you will hate this movie. I can't believe all the positive reviews. I had to turn it off after 15 min when I realised it was not going to get better!

A unique gem of a film, the cinematography and pacing of which is fantastic.
It would be incorrect to call this an action movie, however, and if you're looking for badass Jason Statham violence, you won't be disappointed exactly, but you will be quite confused.
This is really more of a comedy, and rolls along at such a ridiculous pace that it can get away with anything.
I found it very enjoyable, but I think it takes a certain adolescent mindset to enjoy it fully. It's cathartic, silly and ridiculously violent. Good for a night in with friends, or as a family-movie for grown-ups.

There is little story to this movie, just a lot of action. However, it is proper action (none of that CGI heavy, slow motion strung up and doing flips "action")
The methods used to increase the main characters adrenaline (rocking out in the Taxi for example) bumps the movie from a below average 2 star movie up to a decent 3 stars for me.

I adore Jason Statham but found this movie absolutely woeful. Maybe should have read reviews before I chose it - it's full of swearing, drug use, shooting violence (not my kinda thing) and whilst the premise is quite interesting, it could have been handled a lot better. If you like movies of this type, no worries.

Truly one of the worst movies I have had the misfortune to sit through. Terrible direction, aweful editing and rubbish story.
I never write reviews but this was so bad I felt it my public duty to let people know before you make the mistake of "trying this out"
If you are under the age of 24 perhaps you may like the MTV style of filming but seriously...there are better things to do with your time !

Simple but thrilling storyline. A shocking start launches the action on a massive roller coaster that is all downhill and reaches break neck speeds.

Yeah it's tries to be different. The way it is lit is amazing and by shooting on Digital they can really get odd camera angles that defy gravity. However it's just a dumb story with a dumb character who needs to be on a psychiatrist couch. Like the movie Wanted this is just an adrenalin ride to nowhere. Director's Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine are like 10 year old kids jumping up & down going more, more. Halfway through you just end up going, 'no, no more'.

Ha ha! If you want to put your brain in neutral but your adrenaline in high gear, grab this one. Fun, fast and in your face. Jason Statham plays Jason Statham (again) but does it better than most. Not for the squeemish or those easily offended by language (hence the MA warnings people!).

The script is basically a good idea, but really doesn't go anywhere once we know the details. The entire film features nothing more than shoot 'em up, gangster types, punctuated by high octane car chases, and then more car chases. It only saving grace is the MTV style production. Interesting editing techniques, but this unfortunately doesn't save the film. Overall, an OK film that is not a total waste of time if your in the mood.

As an action packed movie, it couldn't be better. As a storyline it was only fair particularly in the plot and delivery department. A couple of very amusing sequences as to how he (Jason Statham) regenerates his adrenalin rush. Definately not for the younger age group children. You will enjoy it, but overall it's not a great movie.

This is an outright action packed, hilarious movie. If you remotely liked Statham in The Transporter you will love him in this. Ignore the low ratings people gave this movie if you like action and comedy, it is a top flick in that category from start to finish.

Yeah, movies are often formulaic and this is no exception, but I think the formula works in this case. Definitely not a movie for cynics but there's a good blend of over-the-top action and humour to make it enjoyable.

Maybe I am just getting old, but heavy metal 'music' throughout the whole film was very irritating! There was very little story line and the acting was worse than B Grade. I would have expected much better from Jason Statham (I enjoyed Transporter), but this will be one that I am sure he would rather forget. A total waste of time!
