MEDIUM LEVEL COARSE LANGUAGE, MEDIUM LEVEL VIOLENCE

Director: Mike Figgis
Actors: Dennis Quaid, Sharon Stone, Stephen Dorff

Finally putting an end to their days as slaves to the hustle-bustle city life, Gothamites Cooper and his wife Leah pack up their kids and all their possessions and move into a recently repossessed mansion in the sticks of New York State. All is well until Dale Massie, the house's former owner, gets out of prison, looking to reclaim his birthright by any means necessary. There are two kinds of people in Cold Creek - those who come there, and those who are born there - and Dale quickly shows that one kind always comes out on top, particularly when the house hides a dark secret.

Enjoyed the movie ,love Dennis Quaid , Sharon Stone maybe not quite right for the part of the wife/mum, but an ok performance . Stephen Dorf excellent ! The actors who played the kids were fantastic . Give it 3 stars it was scary stuff.

Great cast, though thought the story could have had a little more punch in it to justify the cast, thrilling in parts could have had more suspence

Not bad. Some parts took you by surprise, but in the end, you know where the movie is heading.

An enjoyable thriller with lots of twists and turns. If you like this try Cape Fear (the original, with Gregory Peck)

OK story but I am not sure the actors were really that into it. It was too predictable and a bit on the dull side.

Actually a lot better than I thought it would be. Sharon Stone and Dennis Quaid are adequate as the husband and wife and the story does have some tense moments. Not the greatest thriller but still watchable.

Makes you wonder about life in the country! Is it really that scary? I enjoyed this one but a few gaps in the storyline make it implausible at times. Worth watching.
