A rags to riches story - Shirley Maclaine played an amazing part. The story was equally compelling.
Excellent movie. the flow was steady and storyline very good
Loved this movie. The fashions were glorious the acting superb. Very inspiring
Wonderful movie. I enjoyed every bit of it. Very long - two parts - could be watched over 2 nights/sessions but well worth watching.
A really enjoyable movie.Shirley MacLaine portrayed Coco Chanel (in her senior years) brilliantly. The story was told very well with the mature age Coco
telling parts of her life story and that subject portrayed by the younger actor and thence that 'dream sequence' switching back to the mature Coco. The costumes right from the opening scene were incredible, with attention to the most minute detail. The film needed to be in two parts to tell the story so well , as it did.
didn't really believe shirley maclaine as coco chanel. and the costumes didn't really convey the drastic change in fashion that she made.
Great looking TV movie with French actors dubbed with English voices. Definitely Coco Lite with a Mills and Boon script but worth the time for romantics and fashionistas. Top-billed Shirley MacLaine appears in only a few scenes as the older Coco.
Very disappointing made for TV.
I'm so glad I watched this movie - Shirley Maclaine is wonderful as the aging Coco Chanel and deserved the award she received for the role.
