The tiny town of Chewandswallow was very much like any other tiny town except for its weather which came three times a day, at breakfast lunch and dinner. But it never rained rain and it never snowed snow and it never blew just wind. It rained things like soup and juice. It snowed things like mashed potatoes. And sometimes the wind blew in storms of hamburgers. Life for the townspeople was delicious until the weather took a turn for the worse. The food got larger and larger and so did the portions. Chewandswallow was plagued by damaging floods and storms of huge food. the town was a mess and the people feared for their lives. Something had to be done, and in a hurry.

i loved this title........... funny as. Highly recomended viewing for the whole family. It has everything, 'sci-fi', 'adventure', 'action' & it's a 'love' story. Very well presented......... one of the very best anime's i have seen. I was right to get this when i saw the preview

I really didn't like this movie. I've seen most of the contemporary animated movies (suitable for viewers of all ages) and for the most part, they have been clever and entertaining even though, of course, they are pure fantasy escapism. This one goes to another 'zone' - it is imbecilic, though anyone under the age of eight would be entertained. Also, many of these films have some sort of a message, the only one I could detect is that sons need the love and approval of their fathers. But all that crazy food - how about "feed the world"? So there's something bizarre in the whole premis of it. Munchies for the filmmakers, maybe?

Disappointing. The kids enjoyed it but I don't think they'd want to watch it again, and us parents got bored very early on in the story. A bit slow to start and difficult for the kids to follow at times.

Long gone are the good old days of classic animated movies that stick with you for your entire life. Enter the 21st century, and now we have ugly junk which seems to be made for people with ADD. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs doesn't even have much in the way of values, other than to 'be yourself'. The problem is, most characters in this movie are selfish idiots when being themselves. It starts out mildly entertaining, but gets more and more crazy throughout, until it ends with absolute insanity. Christian parents: contains some mild language, including 'holy crap'.

aside from the stupid "science" (water does not have DNA!!!) necessary for the basic premise, which did get somewhat jarring, this was an enjoyable, cute film that i'm sure kids would love.

This was such a cute movie, very family friendly and the kids will love the story line. Its the sort of movie that will make you smile. The animation is similar to Monsters VS Aliens. For those of us old enough to remember Mr T you will pick his voice straight away! My little ones havent stopped watching it! I would recommend it for family movie nights.

After watching the ads for this movie .. even when it first came out i had a giggle but the movie its self i thought was quite boring and very different to what i expected from the ads. my 5 year old brother enjoyed it but i personally only found a few parts funny. Good movie for some .. i suggest you watch it yourself you may disagree with my comment.

My 9 year old daughter liked this. I found it a bit boring and long and did some housework. The storyline is somewhat patchy and goes on a bit however the parts where the food falls out of the sky are very good.

Great movie, starts off very funny but towards the end it goes overboard a bit, maybe some people won't think so but i thought it was going to be heaps better, my son aged 9 even thought so too, otherwise it was a fun family movie, definately worth watching still.

This was a really good forty minute movie...that some idiot padded out to an hour and a half, The kids got bored and I was pleading with the thing to end. It had a promising start though, it just got lost after that.

I loved this book when I was young and was really excited when I saw the cast involved. The animation was good and the move really was a bit of fun, BUT I just think it could've been better. I can't really explain why, just do.
