A red comedy about the ultimate party animals. Judy Davis plays Joan Fraser, a passionate, working class communist who makes the ultimate pilgrimage - to Russia. There she meets, of all people, Joseph Stalin with whom she shares an unforgettable one-night stand. Stalin dies as a result and Joan ends up pregnant. With such revolutionary lineage, it's no wonder Joan's offspring Joe grows up to have some quite radical ideals, ideals which promise to create as much havoc in Australia as his Dad's did in the USSR!

This flick is absolutly marvelous. A very witty send up for Stalinism(russian type kommunism),the Oz version of kommunism and unionism in the '90s(present day too??!!)For me coming from behind the "Iron Curtain" it was an absolute blast.
