After Pardon Chato, a mestizo, killed a US marshal in self-defense, a posse pursues him, but as the white volunteers advance deep in Indian territory they become more hunted then prey, leading to internal strife. Saw this years ago as a kid and found it to be dramatic and compelling. Very dissapointed watching it the second time around - it has certainly dated, i found it slow and uninteresting this time and couldn't watch it all the way through.
