It's a case of

BOY MEETS GIRL, BOY LIKES GIRL AND GIRL ALSO LIKES GIRLS...?

For Holden, love isn't blind, it just needs corrective eye wear. One night, while out on the town Holden meets Alyssa, he finds that she is very beautiful, has a razor sharp humour, is very intelligent and is very gay!

But Holden is not a man of extremes, if their relationship cannot be passionate he would settle for a platonic one. And thus he becomes a friend to Alyssa.

However for Holden the fact that it is a love he can never have, his feeling for Alyssa does not subside and chaos ensues as he cannot ignore the passion that he feels for her.

I wish it had more relevance to Kevin Smith's Clerks films, but nonetheless it is a quite enjoyable romantic comedy.

I wanted to see this as I missed it at the cinema. No great loss it would have seemed, although I am sure my 15-years younger self would have enjoyed it. Not a waste of time, and better than the offerings on TV at the time, but I wish I'd rented something else now.

Thsi movie was quite unbearable to watch. The dialog isdelivered matter of factly with no style or feeling whatsoever. Bland, boring and thinks itself to be just so smart.

If you are a fan of Mallrats, Clerks, Kevin Smith, etc, you NEED to watch this film. It's great. Oh an it has the best monologue about Racism in Star Wars that could ever be written. Watch it!

I just didn't really get the concept. Or why? I normally love Kevin Smiths work, and anything with Jason Mewes (L), but not this time. And Ben Affleck?? Strange movie.

The movie is quite good. This version is from a Criterion laser disk and you lose both sides of the image. In a movie made up of people talking to each other, losing their faces is unforgivable.

argh, I hated this so much! Fast forwarded through most of it. Jay and Silent Bob didn't appear until most of the way through. And so much bloody talking! Talk talk TALK. Boring. Not funny. Possibly witty, and quality, but as a Jay and Silent Bob movie it was crap. The outtakes and wrecked scenes were better, and some of THOSE were fast forward material. Clerks 2 was better than this. Do not bother wasting 2 hours of your life watching this rubbish!

This is the third of Kevin Smiths offerings to the film world, again like all of his previous work he has written and directed and 'cameod' in this film. His onscreen role in this film is quite small but when he does appear and gives a rare monolog you really have to stand up and take notice. I can't fault the directing, screenplay or acting in this movie, think the fact that it was made for such a small amount of money by Hollywood standards adds to its character. This is my favorite movies of all time, its not your average boy meeets girl movie, it has several twists that will move even the hardest of men and women. I think Joey Adams does an incredible job, her scene outside the hockey rink is a film highlight, why she is not more highly sort as an actress I do not know. I also think that this is Ben Affleck finest film or even with Good Will Hunting. The supporting cast is also fabulous, Jason Lee, Jason Mewes play their part too, there are also a few cameo's so look out for those. If you listen to the directors commentary it will make the experiance all the more worthwhile. My advice, watch the film, then watch it again with the commentary and deleted scenes, then watch it again.

This is a strange flick dealing with many taboo subjects. Hard to get into, but if you persist you will come out feeling that it wasn't so bad. Not one of Ben Afflecks better movies but Joey Lauren Adams does a superb job.

What ever happened to Ben Affleck. I really liked him in this movie but since this he's really gone downhill. Not your average romantic comedy and definitely worth a watch.

Kevin Smith always says what the rest of us only dare to think privately. This is one of his gems. It explores with honesty and bad language (as usual) what happens when a Catholic boy falls in love with a girl who has a 'past'.

More from the Kevin Smith school of movie making. Same actors, same themes and in some cases, same characters.

This film has a particular style, with fast moving and often rather fruity language, which you'll probably like or loath. Ben Affleck really isn't Oscar winner potential, although amusingly this is one of the sequence of Jay and Silent Bob movies, providing the basis for the film's title and primary theme.
