Chalet Girl (2011)

Stick with this one. I didn't like the start and they seemed to fast forward through the romance part - the whole reason we rent these types of films, but it had the Hollywood ending we've come to expect and left me smiling and fulfilled my chick flick fix.

My daughters and i had a lovely time watching this movie. Yes, predictable but fun. Well worth sitting down and watching with the kids. A few swearwords and sexual innuendoes, but what movie doesn't? A good fun movie.

What a gorgeous English accent Felicity Jones has. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and the romance with Ed Westwick made you want to fall in love again. A great TV movie!

Kids enjoyed this one. Light hearted comedy. Good for a bit of light entertainment.

A nice love story but most of all in this movie loved the scenery. The snow was beautiful so doesn't say much about the actual movie.

To be honest, I wanted to see this movie because it had Ed Westwick in it and I am a huge Gossip Girl fan. It was highly predictable but I still enjoyed watching the story unfold.

Definitely a one star offering. In a word puerile.

Easy to watch.

Felicity Jones is very cute and a good actress but this was a pretty stupid story. For a start the premise of her getting a job as a chalet girl in switzerland was rather thin, I'm sure she could've found a better-paid job closer to home if she'd tried. Secondly I coulnd't see why she was attracted to that smug rich bloke with a face like a llama, who had nothing to recommend him except a large bank balance. The whole thing was very predictable and full of cheesy rom-com cliches, like the scene of them romping together in the snow, laughing uproariously and rolling around in slow motion, while upbeat music played to show how much FUN they have together!! I also thought it was RIDICULOUS that her first ever ski jump won first place in the competition, but I concede that the story totally hung on this extremely unlikely coincidence and would have been completely pointless without it.

Good, funny chic flick...I watched it twice! I loved the characters and although it was predictable, it was well done.
