Definitely not a movie you can walk away from. Amazing talent from the dancers, and even though she does smile too much in my opinion, the lead is a great actress with a lot of talent. I loved the movie, it is the same as every other dance movie though. Girl/guy auditions / doesn't get in / gets a job but continues to dance / falls in love / gets into the dance company / happy ending. There is always small difficulties to get through, but essentially they are the same. That's not to say they aren't enjoyable though. If you want a predictable story line, with loads of talent and a nice warm fuzzy ending, this is the movie for you.

After the first movie we expected more, if you liked the first center stage then this is its poor 2nd cousin, but given the choice I would just rewatch the first one again

Im a big fan of the original, one of my all time faves. And im a real sucker for this genre. Saying that... this movie is terrible! I even got bored a few times. No story, just lots and lots of repetitive dance scenes, with a few streams of dialogue in between, disguised as a story. Yuck yuck yuck. And the lead characters didnt have a shadow of the charisma OR dance skill that those in the original Centre Stage had.

90 minutes of pain. Awful acting, terrible plot devices and a twist which is so unbelieveable that it will leave you wanting to jump out of a window. Stay away, far away...

A pale shadow of the original. While the original was at least potentially believable, Turn it Up is a complete fantasy. The girls will like the dancing and the love story.
