Star race car Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater (Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship to exciting new places in Cars 2 when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world's fastest car. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage. Torn between assisting Lightning McQueen in the high-profile race and towing the line in a top-secret spy mission, Mater's action-packed journey leads him on an explosive chase through the streets of Japan and Europe, trailed by his friends and watched by the whole world. Adding to the fast-paced fun is a colourful new all-car cast that includes secret agents, menacing villains and international racing competitors.

A worthy follow up to Cars, it had quite a clever espionage plot with a few twists and good humour. Fun for adults and kiddies alike.

Animated flicks are so brilliant now, that i think they are becoming my favourite genre,i just wish they would loose the mushy happy endings every now and then, but besides that an excellent movie that i found was probaly more action packed than tha 1st,but missing that something special i thought the 1st cars movie had,but still very entertaining i found and hope the franchise continues as this 1 was focused on tomata and mcqueen,so tha next could focus on the lorry or tha hippy or whom ever, all i'm saying is,'keep em coming,as they are very good child/adult flicks and i give this a 9 outta 10....
