The Cannonball Run brings Burt Reynolds, Roger Moore, Farrah Fawcett, Dom DeLuise, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr. and an all-star cast to the starting line of the ultimate auto race, a madcap cross-country scramble that roars full-speed ahead.

Hal Needham, the director of such souped-up hits as "Smokey and the Bandit," "Hooper" and "Smokey and the Bandit II" is at the helm of a wild action-comedy inspired by an actual event: The Cannonball Sea-To-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash, an anything-goes, all-stops-out - and thrillingly illegal - competition that has grown to legendary proportions in the last ten years.

This is a true fun movie. Get the kids to watch this one with you and introduce them to some amazing actors of yesteryear. Roger Moore is suave and intelligent, Jackie Chan makes his debut on an all-English movie, Burt Reynolds brings macho sexy to the screen, Dom De Luise is a master of wackiness and then of course there's the crooners: Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jnr and the ever sexy Farrah Fawcett and Adreienne Barbeau. Forget the script, ignore the plot and focus on a bunch of actors who got together to have a real good time while making a movie at the same time - this is real family fun!

Classic. Dom Deluise and Burt Reynolds together are one of the all time great screen pairings. Great cast.

Good old fashioned slapstick. Aging gracefully, but still a good laugh.

Good fun, with a cast of stars. Plenty of laughs, with Roger Moore stealing the show as a character who is pretending to be Roger Moore who is pretending he is James Bond. Classic.
