Hilarious! So-oo-oo Australian, with some real characters making appearances who are equally ridiculous and endearing. Highlights for me are 'Dairy Queen' and the re-enactment of the toad-related fatality. I can see it's a doco which High School kids could watch without falling asleep, but I found it interesting and too funny for words.
Humorous and educational. Liked 3D effects. Aussie subject matter. Have learned something: that some dogs get semi-addicted to the toxins produced by the toads; that there are overseas importers of that stuff, presumably for "Chinese medicines", etc. Much more research is clearly needed. Another interesting details: the insect for eradicating of which the toads have been introduced into Australia does damage at 2m high level from the ground , the toads can not get to that level, so bringing them into Australi was indeed a huge blunder (on government's side!). At least now the government subsides the movie...
One of the best Aussie docs I have ever seen, I was hooked.
Pretty funny documentary and very informative. The toads chosen to star in this movie did an excellent job grabbing and maintaining our attention, the sheer depth and believability that these actors display make you wonder why they haven't appeared in other movies before. The 3D effects were surprisingly good too. It's not the best thing out there, but it's still a better love story than Twilight.
Bit of a history lesson on why to not tamper with natures pecking order !!
very funny and very informative..i remeber being a 5 yr old on holiday with 1 of my brothers and folks,we were near cook town in QLD and my bro pulled out 1 of dads golf clubs and proceeded to hit cane toads across a field,i was 5,so i was x'ed between being amused and terrified, but tha family explained to me that it was encouraged,so its ok to be cruel!!! yeah, what eva,ya frikken barbarians....anyway i loved it,very entertaining tha whole way threw, and i give it a 8 outta 10
