interesting & thought provoking. Obviously once again mans ignorance of fundamental basic environmental rules were not adhered to (ie. DO NOT introduce new species into unknown new environment) without first adhering to basic research criteria. Common sense really. Worth the watch to see 'what NOT to do'

This gives us a proper history about the How & Why we got the Cane Toads, and that it was a mistake that cannot be rectified, I see that the problems caused by the 'toads' is not strongly dealt with, But we hope that these sorts of measures are NOT used lightly again,

Humorous and educational. Aussie subject matter. Have learned something: for instance that some dogs get semi-addicted to the toxins produced by the toads; that there are overseas importers of that stuff, presumably for "Chinese medicines", etc. Much more research is clearly needed. Another interesting detail: the insect for eradicating of which the toads have been introduced into Australia does damage at 2m high level from the ground , the toads can not get to that level, so bringing them into Australia was indeed a huge blunder (on government's side!). At least now the government subsideses the movie...

I am Victorian and obviously never see a cane toad. Enjoyed the doco, plenty of information, sprinkled with a little bit of humour, although no where near as much humour as the information and trailer imply.

Excellent! A serious doco with some humour and very informative. I lived in Mackay, Cairns and Gordonvale in the early 1970s and can remember trying to run them over on the roads at night; never saw many in the daytime. The only problem with that was it made the underside of your car stink! In Brisbane in the early 80s, the place we were renting had an in-ground pool. It wouldn't be uncommon to get up in the morning and find the pool full of drowned toads; or that those that were still alive were busy mating. Didn't make me too keen to have a swim!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to watch it. I just started it on "WatchNow" and an american movie "Michael" appeared instead. Tried three times and the same result.
