I liked this one. Definitely has its slow moments though. I would put this lower on your queue and throw it on tv while trying to make out - ya know, one of those movies that you don't really care if you miss out on...

This movie begins weird and strange and unfortunately gets worse as it goes on. The performances from Judd and Shannon almost save it but I just couldn't get into it and the teeth pulling scene was horrible

Strange movie which you don't know where it's going for the first hour. Becomes a bit daft towards the end and the impact diminishes. Worth a look though. 3.5 stars

An enthralling head-trip of a film. Judd and Shannon give fantastic performances. Great to see that William Friedkin still has it more than 30 years after The French Connection and The Exorcist.

Don't expect to be entertained or to get scarred here. Made by the guy who made the original THE EXORCIST, it's a small budget and has the feel of it all the way. It's kind of an independant movie that deals with odd individuals and situations. Loved it because it's made by a master. How to tell a story with no money or almost no money. It also shows that out there there is another american cinema. It's smart, interesting and the characterization has been worked as its best. Loved it all the way.

Really slow first half followed by the weirdest second half to a movie i've seen and a total let down of an ending. Unforgettable for all the wrong reasons!

Woah! Not at all what they sell it at it! A seriously distorted and ultimately unsatisfying film about a man whose psychosis infects his girlfriend to catastrophic ends. The performances are chilling, especially Judd's, which has to be seen to be believed given her other films to date. I finished watching this movie feeling disturbed by the vivid portrayal of such paranoid delusions as experienced by the characters. For entertainment, don't do it to yourself. For a weirded out experience, go ahead. But expect nothing and you might be impressed.

oh my gods what a weird film... i guess i 'got it' but my question is... why? ;) im guessing it was written like a play... it was okay... but there were perhaps only a few moments where i totally believed it, then it felt like they almost lost their nerve... she should have hung in there... it was weird sure... but it could have worked... but i just dont think it did for me... not really.

Can't believe that Ashley Judd would bother taking on this role. Terrible movie - waste of time watching.

4 stars just for Ashley, the queen of thrillers delivers again and again and again. Ashley is to thrillers what Jamie-Lee was to horror. l loved this for like 90% it turned a little funky towards the end, even for me and that's saying something! The only extra bit was a directors track. "don't you see it!"

About the only good things in this movie are Ashley Judd's legs. The first part of the movie is like a trailer park monologue, while the second half descends into ravings of a paranoid psychopath. Sure, it was probably a rivetting stageplay, but that doesn't mean it will translate well to the screen. Insular, awkward, and a terrible waste of Judd's talents.
