A bit tame compared to the crazy energy in earlier Almodovar movies, but still watchable.

Spanish drama with English subtitles. I agree with some reviewers' comments below who said it was disappointing and not thrilling enough. On a boring side, for me. Also I would never categorise it as a "comedy", "foreign drama", rather.

Lovely movie, as always with Almodovar's films the cast are excellent and it's beautifully shot. If you're looking for an action-packed time it's not for you.

Pleasant enough, well told story. Penelope Cruz as usual is excellent.

This was a great movie, Penelope Cruz as always fantastic. A typical European film that lets you do some thinking instead of being thrust with the obvious plot line like a lot of US movies.

This is a brilliant film by Almodovar. He creates brilliant suspense throughout the movie and keeps you wondering. Photogrpahy is beautiful. A real joy to watch. Don't miss it.

Penelope Cruz is breathtaking in this. Interesting movie, more to it than an average 'hollywood'

An intelligent movie that's a few steps above the rest, but relegated to the "festival movie" genre, hence only a few reviews. Subtitles?.....oooooh can't watch that! Spend a couple of hours and sit back and indulge yourself, it has everything, you won't be disappointed. Cruz is great as usual, but it's not just her movie. Almovadar has done it again.

As a fan of Almodovar I found this one a little disappointing. Good script, acting, directing, scenery but overall nothing was particularly thrilling. But still a good film in general and worth a watch.

Cruz is great but this is too long and self indulgent for me

Spanish subtitles. 3- rating. Love story, involving compromise, cheating, lies and revenge told in flashbacks found it hard to concentrate on the plot subtitles may have detracted from the intended impact . Movie based on the premise of ???making a film??? I found it disjointed, slow in the build up sub plots that don???t go anywhere, non eventful ending. Overall disappointing.

A bit complex and a bit melodramatic, but interesting enough to keep watching and stay intrigued. Some of the early scenes switching back and forth in time are confusing, but then the pace settles down and the story starts coming together.

Penelope Cruz is fabulous and makes the movie which is somewhat confusing at first but it comes together by the end.
