Population Five BoyTown are back. The greatest boyband of the eighties leave their humdrum lives for one last crack at the big time. They return to the stage with slightly older fans and slightly larger pants to complete some unfinished business. These days they spend less time singing about tears, eternity, angels and their ‘baby’ and more time singing about divorce, shopping and picking up the kids from school. As their triumphant tour draws to a conclusion, all the personal issues that have been safely buried away for twenty years come bubbling to the surface with explosive consequences. Suddenly the band has to deal with: allegations of infidelity; paternity tests; a miming fiasco; a band member ‘outing’ himself live on stage; an awards night disaster; solo albums; a mysterious disappearance and a plane journey that will cement the BoyTown legend forever.

This was soo painful to watch. Some of the information they showed throughout the movie was irrelevent and the storyline was just boring.

Pretty funny. Even though the Boy Band imitators wears thin by the end, it's highly recommended to fans of Mick Molloy, Tony Martin

Possibly the silliest movie ever written. Enough comedy for a short sketch on a half hour comedy show, not nearly enough for a feature length film.

Unless you have recently had a labotomy I doubt you would find this in any way amusing.

Started slowly, but a bellful of laughs by the end! So full of cliches and the reasons why people hate boy bands! Soundtrack is awesome, those songs are killer!!!

A cute and quirky movie. Great for those times when you want a bit of a chuckle and not too taxing on the brain.

Excellent movie - very entertaining. The behind the scene's extra's is worth watching too as well as the deleted scene's as a couple of them actually help to explain some of the attitutes expressed in the movie but are not clear from where they came from

I'm a huge fan of Mick Molloy, Glenn Robbins and Bob Franklin so I was expecting a lot from this movie but it never really took off. It still manages to be a good-but not great-movie but there is not a lot of laughs and you feel like this movie could have been so much more. It is a little sad that an extra feature-Boytown Confidential-is much much funnier than the movie.

Ok. Just as much a parody of it self. Impossible and clunky story line. Some funny moments never the less.

Pretty disappointing! Seriously thought it would be better. Obviously New Kids On The Block were the basis of the dance moves and marketing strategies!

With the cast I thought ot was going to be a laugh a minute comedy but it actually takes itself as a serious musical throughout a lot of the film, unfortunately not what you would expect from this cast.

The Molloys terrible attempted satire, their followup to Crackerjack, isn't clever. I mean, it's *really* not clever. And while it's fine for a "movie" made purely for "entertainment" to rely heavily on formula, it needs at the very least to include some "witty one-liners" or a "feel-good soundtrack". But as we're propelled along with an implausible plot that, when crowded with endless BoyTown numbers, leaves little room for what one imagines could have been the audience's "hook" - the relationship between Benny G and Holly and their secrets. Instead, any potentially dramatic moments are smoothed over, the audience is left listening to excruciatingly awful boy-pop sounds, and by the time the finale comes around, we've had enough. I gave it a star for attempting to disarm the audience right at the end (it doesn't work), and for the way in which Benny G finally deals with what could have been a life-shattering problem.
