Roger Rogerson was headed for the top. He was the golden haired boy. He received more citations and made more arrests than any other officer on the force. To earn a reputation like that, you had to have your contacts on the inside. Sometimes, even cross the line. That's when the distinction between cop and criminal can blur. Neddy Smith, one of Australia's most notorious criminals found himself keeping company with the elite members of the police force. Overnight, a two bit crime with a cruel streak became the kingpin of a crime and drugs syndicate. He had the green light. He was untouchable. Michael Drury was an honest cop in the wrong place at the wrong time. His crime was to turn down a bribe. The man who offered it to him was Roger Rogerson. To say Drury was surprised would be an understatement. But he thought it would end there. He was dead wrong.

I am familiar with certain things from a certain time........great show but it doesn't have to be exactly as it was to be a great show I like it,not far off to what went on back in the day.........hmm hmm!exciting time still its all over. One things is for sure the coppers back then were as it shows and the criminals (not the ones that would give you up in a single breath)were as the movie shows scary stand over men.but one things for sure its all a one way ticket to the malabar hilton(long bay jail or any other jail) just got out myself ,I met the big man and although he's now not well and in a wheel chair he's still a big man a giant in his hey day fists like boulders...anyway enough of that, top show you'll enjoy it.

I'm not familiar with the true life events of this. Therefore I found it a bit hard to follow and the actors difficult to understand. I won't be bothering with disc 2.

well worth watching. it's a bit dramatised and some of the facts are a bit distorted, however... the guts of it is pretty right.

Stunning performances by Roxburgh and Martin. Americans may have a little trouble catching all the dialogue and there are no subtitles available, but you can't miss the message. This is a ferocious portrait of police corruption and how it runs rampant if unchecked. Absolutely chilling movie, just keep reminding yourself that it's all true and you will shake your head in disbelief.

A very brutal and graphic movie about police corruption in NSW. Not for the faint hearted. Based on actual events, thought provoking and frightening.

Brilliant retelling of a real life story, from the crooked cop Rogerson and his criminal offsider Neddy Smith to the honest cop Michael Drury.

A brilliant dramatisation of the corruption in the NSW police force in the 80s. Roxborough and Martin are spot-on with their portrayals of Rogerson and Smith.
