I only watched this film to see just how much U.S filmakers can be so sick.Shame on you bigpond for buying such trash. The synopsis of the film when choosing was very misleading and I expected better. This is a perfect reason to choose films from an earlier decade for some remote chance of a decent show.

If Schumacher was trying to ambush us into the horror experience it is a miscalculation something is not quite right with this film. Too much time spent in over indulged drama had me bored from the start. From there it was catch up footy to gain interest, and everything about this film should have had me interested.

Brilliant horror film takes horror in a new direction despite the familor setting of a farmhouse and succeeds rather nicely. Two brothers storm a farmhouse after one returns begging for his sibling for help but find themselves over their heads when they unlease a zombie like killer who is very hard to stop. They hide with a family and try to face down their attacker. The acting is top class with all performing well and the direction is smooth taking the best ideas from SL8N8 and throwing in a few neat twists in the plot as well to keep things fresh and in a world of remakes and endless sequels a fresh idea for horror is def welcome. Plenty of blood and gore plus awesome sequel effects but a friendly word of warning to animal lovers as theres some nasty animal death that are just as bad as the Ferryman so those offended by that should choose something more befitting in their movie selection as the deaths are quite brutal. The movie is open at the end but any seuqels are welcome as it def goes for the Supernatural kind of ending which is great. Def recommended horror fans esp. those who are tired of lame remakes and are after some original horror to enjoy. Loved it
