Michael Oher (Quinton Aaron) knows little about family. Less about football. What the homeless teen knows are the streets and projects of Memphis. Well-to-do Leigh Anne Tuohy (Sandra Bullock) knows little about his world. Yet when she and Michael meet, he’s found a home. And the Tuohys have found something just as life-changing: a beloved new son and brother. This real-life story of family and of Michael’s growth into a blue-chip football star will have you cheering with its mix of gridiron action and heartwarming emotion. Share the remarkable journey of the college All-American and first-round NFL draft pick who was a winner before he ever stepped onto the playing field.

This movie stars Sandra Bullock (as a blonde) in a true story about a rich Christian family that take in & adopt a young impoverished black boy who becomes an American football star. A feel good movie. Sandra Bullock you have nothing but respect for in this role in the true life character she plays. This is worth your time.

What a great feel good movie, was not sure in the beginning but boy did it pull me in. Loved Sandra in the move, no wonder she received recognition for this one.

A really fabulous movie. At first it was disarming to see Sandra Bullock in a serious role (not the quirky character she usually plays) but she was believable. This true story deals with such emotive issues; you will find yourself counting your blessings for all that you have.

This is the best movie i've seen in a long time, really heartwarming and uplifting. Make sure you've got a box of tissues handy as this boy's story will break your heart and you'll also cry tears of joy when you see how well everything works out in the end (i think i cried at least 3 times). Also nice to see a "True Life" movie that has more fact than fiction.

Amazing what a little love and compassion can achieve. The only downside to this movie is, I think Sandra Bullock and her husband in the movie were not the totally best choices to play the parents of Michael, unless of course they reflect the actual parents of Michael in real life. Anyway the script and story is what makes it a 5 star movie not the actors in this one...
