An extreme sports spectacle, BILLABONG ODYSSEY is a documentary from director Philip Boston that tracks the progress of a season-long contest that challenged some of the world's most daring surfers to ride the biggest waves they could find. Their ultimate goal was to seek out and conquer a 100-foot crest. These athletes used any means available to find the biggest waves, tracking them with scientific equipment and using boats or helicopters to get to the right starting spot. The resulting footage provides a wild adrenaline rush.

This is the best surfing movie to be released since Big Wednesday. A captivating watch that puts you in the minds and situations of some of the greatest big wave surfers of our time. The action in this movie is not to be missed! A must rent DVD

Not the best surf doco around, but seeing Teahupoo break makes it good enough.

The camera work is exceptional and the interviews are insightful, but most of all the waves and the breaks are unbelievable. If you surf youve probably seen some of the footage but even if you don't surf you will be blown away by this documentary. Great fun. A dry adrenalin rush.
