Nicole Kidman and wickedly funny Will Ferrell “are perfect together (Steve Oldfield - Fox-tv)” as actors playing Darrin and Samantha on a remake of the television show “Bewitched”, in this cleverly crafty comedy from director Nora Ephron (Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail). Egomaniacal star Jack Wyatt (Ferrell) casts unknown Isabel (Kidman) as his co-star in order to monopolise the limelight and regain his top spot on Hollywood’s A-list. But when Isabel, a real witch, discovers Jack’s self-centered scheme, she conjures up a side-splitting spell that this mere mortal will never forget!

A really good "family" movie - - one we all enjoyed & Nicole is wonderful in it - better than I remember.

i used to watch bewitched when it was on reruns when i was a little kid in the 80's so I liked the little inside jokes they put into the movie. Im also a big will ferrell fan and while he wasn't as crazy as in other films he's still hillarious at times. I guess you would still enjoy the movie if you've never seen the tv show as its a movie about the show being remade in our day. Obviously the main story is about a witch living in the world of mortals so there's going to be a bit of dodgy stuff thrown into it. Mainly one scene has nicole and other girls basically doing witch craft to put a hex on will ferrell's character. So if that kind of thing offends you just skip the scene because you wont lose plot, or, just dont watch it at all. :)

It's not terrible but it's not great. Nicole kind of grew on me in this and we ended up thinking how cute she was. Shirley Maclaine is great, Michael Caine is Michael Caine (again) na dI liked Will Ferrell, especially when he over-acts!

Nic is good as usual, but Will Ferrell is so OTT he unbalances the movie. Shirley Maclaine is utterly wasted. A few laughs but not very many. Disappointing.

Kidman's choice for this project surprised me given the weight she currently carries in tinsel town, perhaps Nora Ephron (Sleepless in Seattle) at the helm was attractive. Despite an incredible line-up (Caine, MacLaine, Schwartzman) the film fizzles. Ferrell provided some funny moments

Frankly, given Kidman's power weight in this industry I'm a little surprised she chose this project, maybe it was due to the presence of Nora Ephron (Sleepless in Seattle) at the helm. The dialogue was uninspiring and formulaic. Despite the presence of greatness (Caine & MacLaine) the mark is missed. Ferrell entertains however.

Some fun moments but mostly Yuck. Nicole Kidman is lovely, Michael Caine and Shirley McClaine both impeccable. But the other starring actor Will F. well have never liked him and this film has cemented my opinion. Totally P.U. Yikes

A light hearted comedy with a touch of nostalgia for original Bewitched fans. What it did do is given me a thirst to watch the remastered original version of the TV series now available.

Woeful! Woeful! Woeful! Do not waste your time. Nicole Kidman looks gorgeous but that will keep you going for about 30 seconds. Is truly a terrible movie - you laugh it is so bad.

This isn't as bad as everyone has made it out to be. It's fluffy. It has some funny parts. Pick it up when you want to watch something mindless.

Bit slow to begin with, and a little confusing but it did pick up and was quite watchable. Nicole Kidman was very good as Samantha.

Movie was ok.... thought Nicole and Will acted well, but story plot was very disappointing. Didn't do the beloved Bewitched series any justice, which is a shame.

Different to what I expected, but making a movie about making a movie was a great way to bringing the old TV favourite back, including flashbacks to the TV show.

A remake this is not. While it steals from the original concept to a small degree, this movie at least shows that the male attitude of the 50's has no place in todays modern times. The pairing of the main characters works well on the screen and it is refreshing to see Nicole play such an innocent personality. There is a potential to make her the new "Doris Day" or "Meg Ryan". The only drawback in this movie is role played Shirley McLaine and her character could have been allowed to play a more active role in the story line. This is a very pleasant movie and easily enjoyed by an age group.

Such a shame about this movie.... Considering how fantastic the orignal TV series was that this was how they chose to portray 'Samatha' as basically a clueless witch.. very disapointed

Pleasant film that doesn't require too much mental effort. Quite a clever twists on the idea from the original TV series. Will Ferrell plays true to form but Nicole Kidman's breathy diction can be a little annoying.
