Take a closer look at their world through the eyes of one bee in particular - Barry B Benson (Jerry Seinfeld). A recent college graduate, Barry wants more out of life than the inevitable career that awaits him and every other worker in New Hive City - a job at Honex... making honey. Barry jumps at the chance to venture out of the hive, and soon encounters a world beyond his wildest dreams. When Barry inadvertently meets a quirky florist named Vanessa (Renée Zellweger), he breaks one of the cardinal rules of beedom - he talks to her. A friendship soon develops and Barry gets a guided crash course in the ways of the human race. When he shockingly discovers that anyone can purchase honey right off the grocery store shelf, he realises that his true calling is to stop this injustice and set the world right by suing the human race for stealing the bees' precious honey.

I really enjoyed this, but I'm a sucker for good animation (Toy Story's, The Incredibles, Cars...) While the premise gets a little do-goody toward the end, the comedy is almost non-stop. One of the classic movie lines of all time is delivered at the end of the movie by Mouseblood. Very, very enjoyable.

In step with Antz and A Bugs Life, I now look at bees through new eyes. Who would have thought that a bee could fall in love with a human, very amusing. My 3yr old daughter enjoyed it too.

How could a movie featuring Jerry Seinfeld as the main character's voice fail? Not at all in our house. Barry is a bee with ambition and his tale is charming and funny. The animation and colour are delightful. One of our family favourites.

This was just an OK movie, nothing special, but not atrocious either. Other animated movies have more appeal but I suppose this one was 'special' in that Jerry Seinfeld was involved. I would say watch the movie if you are Jerry Seinfeld fan but don't rush out and get it if you aren't.

I couldn't wait until this movie finished. I kept watching it hoping that it would get better. I expected it to be funnier due to Jerry Seinfeld being the main character. I was expecting Shrek quality. A good children's movie however.

What a lovely little movie. Great animation/computer generation and a stellar cast as the bee team - led by the irrepressible and wonderful Jerry Seinfeld. One of those kids' films - like Finding Nemo - that adults can enjoy.

Not the best Dreamworks have produced, I struggled sometimes to remain interested in this film. The storyline was ok, but at times i couldn't help but think i'd seen it before. Jerry Seinfeld is the worst casting choice for a movie, having to listen to his voice droning like that for an hour and a half drove me nuts. Patrick Warburton (Joe from Family Guy) and Chris Rock provide the only highlights i remember.

Certainly a good children's movie and acceptable entertainment for adults. Life in a beehive becomes too restrictive for a young bee who decides to take a look outside the hive where he falls in love with a young (human) woman. The first 20 minutes of this movie depicting life in the hive was too reminiscent of a Flintstones style of cartoon for my liking but it gets better. Barely a laugh in it for adults but beautiful colours and a bright feel with an improving story keep you involved.

This film is aimed at the 2-6 year age group only, not really any adult second level amusement aka Shrek. Not a good Dream works effort really. Animation and presentation of the film excellent though.

Out of all the animated features that I have seen, this is the one that targets an adult sense of humour most. It is really not a kids film. But the writing is clever and hilarious, with Jerry getting a chance to go on his rants reminiscent of Seinfeld. Great fun.
