Director: Michael Lehmann
Actors: Diane Keaton, Mandy Moore, Gabriel Macht, Tom Everett Scott, Lauren Graham, Piper Perabo, Stephen Collins, Ty Panitz, Matt Champagne, Colin Ferguson, Tony Hale, Sophina Brown, Karen Leigh Hopkins, Gerald Downey, Ingrid Sanai Buron

Keaton stars as Daphne Wilder, a mother whose love knows no bounds or boundaries. She is the proud mom of three daughters: stable psychologist Maggie (Lauren Graham), sexy and irreverent Mae (Piper Perabo) and insecure, adorable Milly (Mandy Moore) - who, when it comes to men, is like psychotic flypaper. In order to prevent her youngest from making the same mistakes she did, Daphne decides to set Milly up with the perfect man. Little does Milly know, however, that her mom placed an ad in the online personals to find him. Comic mayhem unfolds as Daphne continues to do the wrong thing for the right reasons...all in the name of love. In a hilarious battle of strong wills, the mother-daughter dynamic is tested in all its fierce, wacky complexity. The girls help Daphne finally discover the truths and impossibilities of motherly love, all while trying to answer the questions: where does it begin and where should it end?

Perhaps my family isn't dysfunctional (serious undermining of the heroine by her mother) enough to make this film relevant to my experience and raised me a little too moralistic to forgive the herione her infidelity - running two guys at once is, at some point, a choice she made, and then found she didn't like the consequences.

Okay i dont normally like sappy movies like this and the mother bit was so over bearing and the last 15 minute so stupid to the point it really brought the movie down, But the actress in the movie really made the movie and I ended up enjoying it.

I put this movie into the DVD player thinking it would be another predictable, typical chick flick. My partner begrudginly sat down with me to watch it. To both of our suprise, we were laughing the whole way through. Mandy Moore and Diane Keaton really added a humour element and provided great acting skills that made the film believable and kept you engaged.

Great movie - sooo funny! Diane Keaton is brilliant, as always, and her relationship with her three very different daughters is hilarious, touching and real. (Don't know why mothers must always be trying to find a man for their daughters, though - bit desperate, I think!)

Oh my God I could kill the woman Diane Keaton plays in this film! If she was my mother I'd have to have her removed! Meddlesome beyond belief, this woman is pathalogical! How her daughters allow her to get away with it is beyond belief, even a daughter who is a psychologist! Now the daughters are played well, as is the rest of the cast, even if the story is a wee bit predictable and cliched. However, I fear Diane Keaton has played the same role too many times in a movie, these days. The similarities between the characters in this film and, say, Something's Gotta Give, is crazy. She needs to tone down the idiosyncrasies of her characters, or change them somewhat. And what's with pants and scarves all the time? Not a bad film, but pretty formulaic.

I've come across some weird mother daughter relationships, but none beat this one. I really liked the two sisters, although they too had some very screwed values. I normally love Mandy Moore's sweet, innocent character among who Milly is not. Milly, the protagonist, is a horrible, self centered, untrustworthy human meaning. I hated her. John, played by an actor i regrettably cannot name, was fantastic though. But I just didn't fully understand the movie and am not really sure I wanted to.

If you are really desperate for a light girly movie with a romantic bent and/or are really keen on Dianne Keaton- otherwise I wouldn't bother. A meddling mother can't keep out of her youngest daughter's life. All three daughters are grown up but you never stop being a mother- at least that's the premise. Overdone to the point of being just silly in places as it desperately tries to be amusing and engaging. Last half is less silly than the first half. You'd have to be in the right mood to enjoy this one.

A definite 'chick flick'! Diane Keaton is fabulous; as always. Interesting script but very predictable. It's not a film I would watch again. Once is enough.

Thoroughly enjoyed it - it's fun and lighthearted, but definitely one that will appeal more to the girls. A fun story about an over-zealous mother - absolutely loved the dog!

Both my daughter and I totally identified with this movie. A great mother/daughter show. Really shows the good and the bad in a nice way. Good girlie flick. Guys if you want to GET what girls are about start here!

A bit fluffy. Scant and predictable plot. Probably rated as a 'chick flick' although has enough gratuitous knicker shots to please the boys as well.

Fun and quirky – a solid chick flick but not a top 20. Girls, if you’re planning a girls night in with some ice cream and a bottle of wine and you’re looking for something new to watch instead of Bridget Jones for the 20th time, check this one out.

I love this movie. What can I say, the dog had me in stitches in one scene. Makes me hope I am not like that with my daughter one day.
