Battle - Los Angeles (Blu-ray) (2011)

Some great action scenes. its always good to watch a movie when your not sure who is going to die.

One of the best war movies I have watched. Action starts from beginning and the plot is straightforward and clear with the main character, Staff Sargeant Nantz, under fire from his platoon mates. Yet, the movie shows the human element in the main character: his flaw and his strength. Powerful, gritty, novel and a thrill to watch till you see the softer moments in war, and your eyes start to become teary. If only the Military would help Civilians like Nantz did, we would all look forward to Heroes.

Fantastic move, very fast paced full of American Hooraaa typo action. It kinda reminded me of what America wants to be however in real life USA would be the Alien Invaders invading countries and siphoning up oil. Good for passing a couple o hours if u ain't got nuthin to do...*sigh*

Fell asleep. In an action movie.

I thought this would be awful and more importantly so did my Girlfriend (who only watched it for Aaron Eckhart), but it was surprisingly ok. Worth a watch if your into sci fi and that sorta thing.

Didn't even watch it all. I think i lost interest after 5 minutes. I chapter skipped through most of it and still picked up the story (if you can call it that). SFX are great, but thats not enough to hold my attention for 100 minutes. Again, i should have listened to the people who were telling me it was bad, because they weren't kidding. Boring Boring Boring.

A movie I thought would be stupid , but I actually enjoyed it. Good solid acting & good effects.

If you can suspend belief long enough to enjoy this movie then it's a good couple of hours of action, lots of 'black-hawk down' type heroism with your hapless civilians thrown in. I enjoyed it, even though I kept saying 'yeah right' and 'as if!' occasionally. I guess that's what sci-fi action films are for, escapism and so forth. After all, I knew ET wasn't real too, but I still cried when he went home.

Very cliche retiring war veteran saves the day kind of film. For an action film, there weren't any great scenes. I wasn't impressed by the special effects but maybe this just isn't my kind of movie.

Terrible and boring movie. There's not much to like here.

OK - well I just love Sci-fi movies, so was looking forward to this one. In our opinion it was mostly well done. However you only get short glimpses of the aliens and their machines; giving the impression that they wanted to keep their special effects costs to a minimum. This alters what could have been a great movie into merely a medium quality movie. Steve

when i 1st saw this advertised for cinema release,i thought this is gonna be an absolutely amazing movie,then i saw some reviews soon after it hit tha cinemas and they were saying it was poor! in my opinion its not as good as i 1st thought,but it is alot better than reviewed,so that prooves the saying each to there own, i thought it started slowly,but when they left the police station in the bus,it got better and better and by the end of it,i was left wanting more...cant decide if that was a open story for a sequel at the end,but i sincerely hope it was as i enjoyed it & bring on 'Battle:take back our planet'. i give this flick an 8.5 outta 10
