I remember when the Batman comic came on the market, he was a creepy, scary ,sinister character who took on villains in his own way. That was what we liked about him, this is the only movie to date that touches on that dark tormented character.None of the other movies can portray that image as vividly as this one. 5 stars.

Batman without the "Biff, Wham, Pow" supertitles? Hard to imagine, yes, but this really works. Very understated and dark, it tells Bruce Wayne's journey from zero to hero really well. Christian Bale is strong but cool as BW, Liam Neeson nicely arch as the evil villain and clearly Michael Caine has waited all his life to play Alfred. Fantastic!

I haven't watched any of the Batman movies, so I guess this was a good place to start. A young boy watches his parent get killed. When he grows up he turns into Batman and vows to rid Gotham of crime. You see how he gets his Batmobile and his Batman outfit and other accessories.

Having seen Batman: The Dark Knight, I thought I should watch the first Batman of this remake version with Christian Bale as Batman. Christian does do a good job at playing Batman however, I do prefer the instinctive movements of Michael Keaton. The start of this movie, while I understand the setting up of the movies background of the Batman, was boring and drawn out. I reckon that about half of the long winded beginning could have been scrapped. Overall, it was a good movie with a good selection of actors and yes, I would buy it for my collection as long as I get to buy 'Dark Knight'.

A real surprise. Fabulous. Breathes new life into a dead franchise - it really is that good. Superb casting - Christian Bale is effortless as Batman and Michael Caine as Alfred is a joy. A very rare 5/5 from me.

One of best adaptions of a superhero comic book. Unlike most of these types of movies, the charactarisation and special effects are so understated that you feel you are watching an adult drama. Bale is great as the tormented Batman.

The storyline in this movie was to me better than the first two Batman movies (the only ones I have seen so far). It traces back to his childhood - sometimes in flashback - to give reasons for the origin of The Bat. Very enjoyable Comicbook fare with good action and good actors.

This relaunching of the Batman franchise takes us back to how Bruce Wayne became Batman. It explains who trained him, where he got his gadgets and how he built the batcave. The whole cast does an excellent job with Liam Neeson mentoring another movie hero (feel the force young Bruce). I would have liked to see more of Cillian Murphy as the Scarecrow, but aside from that this more realistic, less cartoony version of the Dark Knight is very good. Christian Bale is signed for 2 more Batflix, having seen the new interpretation, I can't wait to see where it goes from here.

This movie fills in the gaps behind the story of how Batman came to be. It is fully action packed with a simple plot. Great one for Batman fans. It is predictable in spots and that takes some shine away from this otherwise solid entertainer.

If comparing with all previous batman movie sagas, I would say that this film has earned itself to be claimed as the best batman movie (of course by me). This film is real, and most of all believable. The emotion and the tone of movies are great and solid. But it raises one issue to wonder "who cast Katie Holmes?"

It was great to find out the beginnings of Batman. I found this movie more to my liking and more enjoyable then the previous Batman movies as it had more of a story to it. Christian Bale is fantastically cast as Batman. Katie Holmes is cast wrongfully. There just isn't any sparks or chemistry between the pair. Loved Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine in their respective roles. Overall must see entertainment at least once.
