Mostly harmless. Essentially the story of Bambi and his relationship with his father in the wake of the death of his mother. It begins with a kind of mourning that would have been good twenty years earlier when kids were crying about Bambi's mother, but I guess its never too late. Bambi and his animal friends have fun while Bambi learns about courage and responsibility and his father learns about family. I don't recall a single song from it, so there were rather bland, but not too many of them and this time no major characters get killed, so its easy to let the kids watch it.

Bambi 2 is faithful to the original, it has all your favourite characters, including thumper and flower. It is not as sad as the first Bambi, but will still bring a tear to the eye. It takes up the story where the original left off. So now it is up to Bambi's father to take care of him and teach him the ways of the forest. Great movie for young and old.
