Perhaps you need to have experienced America for yourself, but i found this film hilarious! The different places were quite stereotyped, but I was laughing for most of the piece. I also like the steady "learning" the characters undergo which enables them to find their true place. A captivating film. 4 stars.

John Krasinski plays this one really well - the role suits him. It had some really original and funny moments, particularly Alison Janney as the old boss in Arizona. Very different to her West Wing role! Enjoyed his a lot.

Easy to watch. Don't know why I choose it. Certainly a case of the grass is green on the other side BUT IS IT!! May we learn early not to chase for things that are not in the plan of life. It would be easier all round.

I loved this. Yes it is slow moving but with the right movie I enjoy that. The acting was great from everyone, it was sweet without being cloying.

Genuinely Arthouse, a profile of a loving couple very into each other with a great insight into each others character. A wonderful repect for each others thoughts and feelings. Though not wanting to marry (her decision) and having his Baby the couple go though a series of travelling around to varies parts of America trying to find some connection to family, when told both parents wouldn't be around to help nuture their new offspring as they were off to fullfill their own dreams. (Typical Babyboomers) Slow in parts and quite painful to watch ! if you enjoy one on one you'll like this. Not for me I'm past it!

Loved this film. It has a relaxing flowing storyline, with a good resolution, I saw it after a revolting day at work, and I felt more positive about life about life, and not getting caught up in the craziness of others afterwards.

It does develop so stay with it. Second half definitely a better movie. Can't really relate to the male lead but the female is a great character and well acted. Bit over the top and quirky but not a bad story by the end.

A quirky couple is expecting their first child and with fleeting grandparents, there is little at home, they can call home. They set off on an adventure and a sweet folky soundtrack follows the couple on their journey, to find the perfect place to raise their child. Along the way they meet some hideous examples of family life and determine very quickly they will raise their child their own way! Watch out for the scenes with Maggie Gyllenhaal - they're hillarious.

Surprising and endearing. I didn't expect much but thoroughly enjoyed it. Slow moving but always interesting. I thought some of the supporting characters were over the top but was really touched by the film, especially the second half. Small funny moments made this a winner.

I really enjoyed this movie because it was different, not a romance, not violent, not action packed, but it had a realistic enjoyable story line, real feel good movie, acting was good and ended beautifully. But yes i agree with other review(s) in that the beard on the main character was not a good look.

Sweet movie, rolls along, the loving relationship between the two main characters is believable - the two main actors do a good job with a nice little story, and I enjoyed spotting other actors that I knew. One thing that did annoy me was the beard and glasses that the lead actor John Krananski wore was a bit over the top (like they were deliberately trying to disguise that he was the actor who played Jim from the American version of the office). I mean, in the scenes where he woke up in the night - he was wearing his glasses already.... once I noted that, I just couldn't get past it!!

I LOVE this movie. Saw it at the cinema and just watched it a second time from Quickflix. It's a movie that sneaks up on you. I disagree with the previous reviewer. Certainly some of the people that are encountered by our pregnant couple are "obnoxious and disfunctional" (including his parents) but this is balanced by some very real and poignant encounters. I find this movie incredibly funny, incredibly moving and incredibly joyous. Sam Mendes has hit the jackpot for me, again!!! John Krasinski and Maya Rudloph should have gotten Oscar nominations.Soundtrack by Alexi Murdoch is great. I bought the cd the day after I saw the movie! Four and a half stars.

A pointless movie. The couple the movie is about are thoroughly nice and ordinary people, the sort you would be grateful to have as friends. Yet the people they visit are so obnoxious and dysfunctional that you wonder why they bothered. And the last place they go doesn't get any sort of explanation as to the circumstances making it possible, so it is quite unbelievable and very odd.
