Awake (2007)

I really enjoyed this movie. Not overstretched in time and some awesome twists that even I wasn't expecting.

An interesting take on a subject matter not initially appealing; the surprising twists keep it interesting and i enjoyed it more than expected.

Not for everybody, as the main character awaits a heart transplant a plot unfolds involving his doctors and new wife. As the movie progresses and the motives become apparent all seems resolved as the doctors sabotage the operation with the view of accessing his millions, but at the last moment he is rescued by his devoted mother and the plot fails. Worth a Saturday aftternoon watch.

Fantastic movie! I really enjoyed the whole thing. I loved the twist at the end, Im a sucker for twisted movies like this one, i would watch this agian and agian and again. Jessica Alba was fantastic as was Hayden Christensen

good show ending was different bit of a twist

I thought this movie was well acted out. The storyline was good, with a good twist. The ending was a little disappointing, but was worth watching...once.

this is a good movie, realy makes you think

A very dark movie with great twists and thrills. Show the true nature of human depravity and what humans will do to save their own bacon at the painful expense of someone else.

Dont let the surgery aspect turn you off this movie. It's a human nature movie about the depth of love and the love of money. I looked away for a about a minute of surgial procedures and the rest is a gripping drama.

A few twists

Thoroughly disappointing. Stupid, ridiculous and pointless. Rubbish acting, rubbish script....not even a very accurate synopsis of the film. Basically bad

Description on cover was misleading. Didn't really feel it accurately described the movie. Still, it wasn't a bad movie. I was expecting more of a chilling thriller rather than the unlikely plot that unfolded. Not a totally wasted night, but not one to rave about.

I really liked this movie and if you like a thriller that has many different turns then I would recommend it.

Better than I expected and once the plot starts to take a few unexpected turns I found it more interesting.

This first time director/writer has clearly tried very hard to make a grand entrance in Hollywood and in the process has stooped fairly low to get a thrill. This is a nasty story that runs like a horror movie in parts. If you don't like surgery scenes steer clear of this one.

What crazy director still gives Hayden Christensen film roles...he's as wooden as a broome. That said, this is a very slow far fetched story and God only knows what made Lena Olin waste her time on this.... In a word - disappointing.

Brilliant movie, best I've seen for a long time

Good movie. Worth watching.

Little wonder this movie is called "Awake" because if you can stay awake for the whole film it will be a miracle. Hayden Christensen and Jessica Alba are not great actors by any stretch of the imagination but they struggle to make anything on the screen remotely believable and the plot is lame and predictable. A yawnfest that is boring and disappointing.

More often than not I end up disapointed at this genre, yet this is very nearly four stars. Went in a direction I didn't see coming almost in the middle of my this is so predicable sigh; quite clever.

Yeah Baby! A unique concept, finally a movie with an original story. If you plan to go under the knife within the next millenia then maybe you shouldn't watch this till after..hehe. Besides being buried alive, this would be everybody's worst nightmare. I will do my utter best never to have surgery again and perhaps never look at my doctor the same. And I thought Dr. Giggles (movie) scarred me for life but this, well will play with my head for days to come. An unpredictable twist turns thrill into disbelief. What this character goes through is just plain torture in all realms of his life. Hayden's acting has certainly come a long way since Star Wars (bordering on eye-candy) and sweet Jessica Alba shows great versatility in her acting. Terence Howard is always a great watch and never disappoints. Lena Olin with the spitting image of Barbara Hershey is a fine addition to the cast. I highly recommend this movie but be sure to stay Awake!

Average. Expected better with the cast even though the acting was good, the storyline was even at a stretch very hard to believe. Still worth a watch once.

You killed it by revealing the "planning the husbands murder"... lol in your description on the movie.. but mann.. thoroughly enjoyed this movie.. Its scary coz it's so real-life and hard to imagine.. I loved it and it reminds me of CRASH.. Undercover movie, no credit but very "CLEVER".. LOVE IT! :)
