Will Keane (Richard Gere) is the consummate New York success story - he owns one of Manhattan's most fashionable restaurants, is a committed womaniser and leaves a string of broken hearts in his wake. His life is fast, glamorous.....and empty. But one young woman is about to change everything that Will ever believed about himself. Charlotte (Winona Ryder) may be 20 years younger, but in many ways she is light years ahead in maturity. Free-spirited Charlotte has the capacity to give love and live life as if each day will be her last. As their relationship blossoms and deepens in intensity, Will finds out the one thing their relationship doesn't have is time. Charlotte is terminally ill and this autumn may be their last season together. For the first time in his life, Will has found a love that he wants to last forever. Set over one achingly beautiful autumn, this is a classic romance for everyone who loved 'An Affair to Remember' and 'Love Story'.

The move is 10 years old, Gere plays a womanizer, a liar, a coward and overall rat, he falls in love with a sick girl half his age. The chemistry between Ryder & Gere does not work. The script is weak, corny, full of holes tries hard to be a tear jerker but fails; mainly because Gere overacts emotionally, he is very melodramatic with his acting similar to how he performed in Night in Rodanthe . In my view he has never reached the heights of his performance in 1990 Pretty woman, since then Gere attempts as a romantic lead have been ordinary, he is better suited to action/drama movies. 2 stars from my wife 1 star from me. Did nothing for us unfortunately a very ordinary night's entertainment.

It is not fast and intense, but slow and thoughtful, I enjoyed it.

Almost a 4, maybe because I am a Richard Grere fan. Entertaining movie about an older man wooing a younger girl who turned out to have a terminal illness. The seasons of New York added to the beauty.

Richard Gere and Winona Ryder are always gorgeous, but the script was very lacklustre to say the least.

A bit lightweight. The plot was very light, and rather unbelievable. Not a good movie for Richard Gere.
