Fantastic Australian documentary on pre-history, just as interesting and well put together as any BBC or American documentary on the same topic. Highly recommended viewing for students as well as history buffs and prehistoric enthusiasts.

i have been into 'foreign' movies & 'our planet' docos in recent times, most are very tastful enjoyable well done entertaining titles. This title was no exception, in fact, basicly no. 1 on my doco's list, extremely well presented documented down to earth (with ocker flavour) title. Well done aussie movie makers this is exceptional viewing, congrats. thoroughly recomended

This was a very interesting series, but I felt a tad let down only by the fact he's not David Attenborough!!!! Lots and lots of beautiful scenery.... some beautiful footage to feast your eyes on!

Superb series. Australia as it has been formed through time. This series of episodes focused on each age of the earth (the silurian, the devonian, the permian etc.etc) showing how Australia came to be the way it is today. I learnt things about the Kimberley area and Central Australia, for example, that I never knew before. For example, that the opal mines of Coober Pedy are due to the fact this was once part of an inland sea, or that the area north of Fitzroy Crossing to Derby was once a vast reef system that rivalled today's Great Barrier Reef. Brilliant computer graphics takes us back through time to show us how these areas once were. Highly recommended, for all age groups. I watched it several times before returning it, as there is so much interesting information contained in this brilliant series.
